Super Roots!!!

So....I'm not sure if this is going to be an issue.

I have two week and a half old plants. Both have 3 sets of leaves. Planted in soil.

One of the plants is only about 2 1/2 inches tall but the roots of the plants have already reached the bottom of my 3 gallon pot! The roots are starting to grow through the draining holes.

What should I do?

nothin...roots need water and air so the roots will be ok...should have used smaller plantable pots and then transplanted later...this would ensure massive roots

Personally, I say let them go. The roots aren't very aggressive and so overcrowding will not become a problem. I say this because it's better to transplant your plant (to a bigger container, the height in feet should be 1/2 the gallons of soil in the container) only once instead of multiple times. So transplant your plant around two weeks before you flower it or when you flower it (by switching to 12/12). Word..... do that, and it'll be good.

Honestly, I didn't really think I was going to transplant them again. I though a 3 gallon pot would be large enough for a small plant.

If I leave them in these pots do you think it will be a problem later on?

no they will be fine...in the end 3 gallons will be perfect...just sayin in the beginning that if you used smaller pots you would get a bigger rootball which=faster start....i have 2.5 feet hoes ready to flower in quart pots...yep quart,i jus put a soil mix in a large rectangular tub and put plants close in sog style and jus pick males if they show...i just like to save space as i can get 60 plants in the area of the equivelant of 20 reg 3 gal...everyone does their own thing so do what ya think...good luck and puff tha cron

im talking about "pots" made out of fibrous material that is plantable and where roots can escape...ne ways just wanted to make myself sound less retarded lol :peace:
