Super Massive Indoor Plant Grow, 100 Gallon pots

Hi guys!

This is my latest grow and work that has been something in planning for many years. If you have seen my previous grow journals I was growing in a 3.5x3.5x8 tent indoors. After a lot of work I finally have moved up to a grow "room" and this is the first experimental grow in it.

The new room is roughly 9 by 16 feet, at 8 feet tall, more like 7 with lighting though. Part of the big challenge for this grow was to grow it within Colorado legality, but to produce MUCH more than what you would normally be producing. Colorado law states that as long as the plant is growing from a single stem there is no set size for a plant. The idea was to grow a room full of plants within this legal limit. If you think of the breakdown of it, an average grower does a plant in a 5 gallon pot, my plants (except for one in a 65 gallon) are all in 100 gallon pots, meaning my 6 plants are actually more physically equal to 93 small 5 gallon plants. Each plant has its own 1000 watt light with massive ballast, the room itself is 6000 watts of lighting in total. All the plants are in 100 gallon smart pots. The room has concrete coated in rubber sealant in a border all around the room, plus multiple layers of plastic tarp on the ground so the smart pots can drain directly to the actual floor and not damage the rest of the room, when they drain the floor full of a couple hundred gallons of water usually dries by morning just from how dry it is here.

This has been an extremely gratifying grow, one that I never imagined I would do until watching some of the Jorge Cervantes videos of the giant plants outdoors in California. I myself have never grown on this large of a basis before so its really hard to say how much I'll produce, even based off of seeing grows on plants of similar size. But I'll be sure to keep posting and let you guys know the end results of such a fun grow. Right now the stems on most the plants are physically bigger than my forearm and moving towards the size of my bicep. I had trouble trying to get the best pictures and shots of the grow, it is really hard to do these plants justice without properly standing in the room and paling at the size of the things, though I tried for you all and am gonna continue to try and get some good shots until the end of the grow for you all. Hope you guys enjoy!

Oh and for the question everyone has probably been asking, they were in veg since about mid/late November.

Haha, its been amazing to see this whole thing grow out, and yes it is a jungle. The whole progression happened slowly though. Started in small pots, moved up to 8 gallon pots, moved those to 65 gallon pots, and then finally moved them all to the 100 gallon pots right at flower time so they'd have lots of added soil space to grow out during their last 8 weeks. It wasn't til they hit the 65's that they really started to become a jungle which you can see in that "older pics" section, theres one or two pics in that section where they look much smaller and that's about when I transferred them from the 8's, and then that section shows a bit of their progression from the 8 to the 65's. They're currently 1 month into flower in a few days here, so they're almost half way done which is super exciting. And yes that is my forearm sitting next to the plant to give you an idea the sheer size of these monsters, I also took some shots that are a few feet away of that massive beauty, and she is just the easiest to photograph, she's not the biggest one ;-). The plant next to her if you see it coming in branched off into two main stems early on from the clone I was given, so she is probably the biggest plant and takes up double the space. I've done a lot of grows in my day but nothing is quite as soul satisfying as a plant that I need an actual axe or hatchet to cut down. <3

Also because this was asked of me, my soil is 50/50 fox farm marine to sunshine mix. The nutrients are a mix from native roots and my own compost I make from my garden weeds, plus a crap ton of mykos and azos always added to the soil mix. I have a 105 gallon water reservoir that I fill with my water filter, it has a submersible pump with hose attached for watering the room, cuz 565 gallons of soil takes a crap ton of water!
