my grandma had my grandpa piss in a bottle and dumped it on the perimiter of her garden.....i doubt it works though.....but if ya gotta piss why not give it a shot eh? lol
for my part, i piss on every plant i plant outside, at one place in the hedge i always see deers coming through, but they've never touched my plants. so i think pee on your plants doesnt harm, but prevents deer and rabbits from eating it.

yeah i do, sounds strange when you say it though.i avoid it whilst sunshine to prevent sun burns caused by minerals solved in it. so later the day is ideal. and i will stop before flowering, of course..
but before i get offtopic, when somebody wants to grow a pounder plant should he cut it to a bush or let it stand as a tree? i made good experiences with bushes, as there was quite a big amount of heads on them. but i've never weighed a real big top bud, so i will give it a try this season.

human urine, dog and wolf piss, hair, pet fur, all these things will keep deer away. I have tons of white tailed deer in my area and pissing around my plants seems to suffice.

I wouldn't put it pass the deer here to eat my plants no matter what I use. Especially when they grow a little more then they find them. I want to do a fishing line fence but that'd be unreal amounts of line, so I think I'm going to go with the Deer Scram deer repellent I found on the internet. They 100% guarantee it, supposedly but it's the best thing I could find for deer and the monster jackrabbits around everywhere. But an internet guarantee's only worth so much but I guess I'll try it out and let everyone know how it works.

your best bet is not to put your plants in an area that has a deer population nearby. if there is trails (bad anyways) scat or tracks WATCH OUT! them buggers will get torn up on your kinds all day long.
I find that once your plant is over 4 feet deer down bother it much. at this point i would be more concerned with slugs, they can devastate entire plants. Beer cans with about 1/3 beer left in them work amazing for killing slugs, as the slimy little guys are severe beer-o-holics they are attracted to the scent and then drown in the liquid.
Remember Folks by far the greatest threat to your plants is other people so..
1. Don't make trails to your garden. Be careful where you step, especially in the late summer and fall as plants will not recuperate from damage at this point because they are not growing as vigorously.
2. Dont make trails to your plant! I cannot emphasize how important this is, humans are curious by nature and if they are in the woods and spot a trail chances are they will follow it.
3. Dont visit your plants very often. the more traffic the easier it is to make a trail. try to forget they are even there. and dont worry! they are ruggest plants and will be fine for weeks on end with zero care, so long as there is ample water in your area, and you prepared your site well in the spring.
4. DONT TELL ANYONE!!! far too often I hear this comment: "Hey man I got some huge plants out behind my house wanna check it out?"
Everyone is temped to show off thier sticky icky, but resist the temptation until you harvest, then you can really show them off!
#4 always reminds me of a lesson my father told me a long time ago, "If you cant trust yourself to keep a secret, how can you trust others to keep one for you?"

Cayenne pepper and Ammonia. Works on our native new zealand red deer,and they have been known to chew through steel fencing cable to get to your lil green daughters

I'd say take new and different trails to your spot if you can too to lessen up on beating that routine trail most taken. Pick up all your trash and have it hidden in the brush to not be seen from the sky. & like TreeHopper was saying, don't stress about them! growers tend to stress too much late nights wondering if their ladies are ok. it's something you really can't control but it's highly doubtful that something bad is happening to them. just gotta smoke a fatty and "forget the bullshit." this guy helped me to "forget the bullshit" and might be able to help you too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-4pq853YwM
