I wanted to post a tread that users can put all there tips and tricks on for growing large buds...I don't want this to turn into a I'm right your wrong tread just your opinions and tips and tricks to cultivate the largest bud mass possible. Pictures are welcome from all types of strains and genes...this will help new users pick a strain. Like a guide tell what each strain did and why you like or dislike the strain all aspect of the grow and ease of growing. If your strain has already been posted then repost your experience with it. A smoke report with potency from your prospective will be included. I want the older users to come in and help the new users with real experience. Now lets have some fun showing off are priced buds...I'll start with my current grow of Auto Blue Mystics.

The grow was straight forward and I ran into little to no problems...I ran a 600w dimmable light...I would rate this strain at a difficulty of easy...I used a LSB (low stress break) on this plant it only grew to 14 inches tall. I used General Hydroponic Dry Nutrients the whole grow teamed with 2 weeks of diamond nector and SM-90 and Dutch master Zone through out. I yielded close to 4oz wet from this tiny plant. The buds are mostly dense and cured to just under 2oz. I set the plant out out of the tent for one whole day to dry out a little before harvest.

The smoke is full bodied and kinda heavy. The taste is amazing of blueberry and a hint of spice. The high from this strain was not hammering but subtle at first with it quickly become full in bodied. I felt a little hazy within 10-15 minutes. And a full stoned at 25 minutes. This was smoked out of a glass pipe with a standard bic lighter I got 4 clean hits out of one 1/2 bowl.

The tip I have it not to forget about the root system. You won't ever get all you can till you master the root system. I firmly believe in the product that I use for this purpose. I also use low stress break instead of topping. I will post a tread if anyone is interested.

I think that's it guy's and gals please post and have fun with this...Good growing

white widow on her i used a simple nute mix gh flora nova bloom single part and hg bud xl additive from week 3 of flower on to harvest. the bud xl additive seemed to have worked great for producing fatter denser nugs and i would recommend it to anyone.
yield she was just under 2 oz's most of which was the main cola
setup simple 2x4 botanicare hydroponic flood and drain table with 25 gallon res water 3 times when lights on and 1 halfway through the lights off period. she was grown under a single 400w hps sharing the light with 10 other girls.
smoke report very earthy smell not very sour or skunky smelling smells pretty fruity when ground or broken up. taste is great unexplainable lol. deffinetly a creeper take a couple tokes and thought something went wrong with the grow then 15 min later i was very high. no couch lock all head high very energetic i love the effects for daily use.
grow info pretty easy to grow i would say medium to easy.

I tried to google what lsb was and It showed my own thread and this thread as a search result.... halp

i believe LSB is low stress break, like when you pinch a branch so it falls over, but don't all the way snap it, basically it just lets more light get to the inner parts of the plant

not 100% sure icannabis would really have to answer but sounds to me like hst(high stress training) where you pinch the main stalk and kinda crush it but not to much. this makes the stalk weak and bendable so you can bend it or lay it down when it recovers the break becomes hard again this allows the auxins(plant hormone to the main tip of the plant) to redirect to the side branches and makes the plants side branches its new main stems. again not sure if this is the technique he used.

I understand it now, I've done it to a few branches before, didn't know there was a term for it

thanks

Hey Choempi...thanks for stopping by. And LSB (lower stress break) is something I've been doing for awhile. It's like super cropping but with the main stem and super cropping is a lot of techniques even topping. I didn't like topping so I started breaking them and tying them. I don't break it over and leave it though... I tie it with a tooth pick or skewer. I only do it once and on the main stem. And it's not really stressful much less than topping. If your interested I'll post what I did for Chief Puff Puff. Well thanks guy's for the post. And if you have any questions just ask.

I'm assuming you just bent and cracked the trunk at around 3 weeks in and that's it... is that what's up?

I'll catch it at the 3rd or 4th node...and I tie the main stem back up with yarn and a tooth pick or I've used scotch tape...that's it. And I don't see anyone posting about the tread topic come on guy's...this isn't about super cropping which by the way is many many things...or about what I call it. And I'll post pictures today to help anyone else with LSB or super cropping I've done all this stuff before. Good growing and thanks for stopping by.

DON'T TOP,Topping just give's you two smaller buds rather than one big nug.At one time i thought topping was the bees knees but since doing a few test i have come to the opinion that one cola weight wise weighs more than the two smaller ones...........tyke

i think topping is mostly used to control canapé height
Planned topping is more usually for the express method of producing 4 main kolas

But it is a less effecient use of grow space overall. For bigger plants and longer veg time, maybe...

I do this to young plants that don't have a lot of fiber in the stem and it increases my success rate. The point is to damage the plant so it sends repair hormones up to the break to repair the damage and at the same time it's sending it up all the other branches as well...causing swelling of branches and more bud sites in the future. I said I only did one LSB on this plant but I have done up to 3 on others. You don't ever do this to a plant that's not healthy or has small root masses. Plus the plant heals faster with the stint leaving me time to do a 4th node break. I'm glad I didn't graft any of my plants someones head would has exploded. lol Good growing guy's and please post pic's and follow the tread topic I want this to be a good thing.
