Sun Glasses in grow room!

after being in my grow space for 5mins with the 250watt hps light - i came out and cud not hardly see a thing - everythink was black!


was woundering if sum of u ppl wear sunglasses in ur growarea!

yes i have a pair of tinted safty glasses that i wear. my bulb is in an open fixture and i have seen HID lamps explode before. so the tinted safty glasses saves my eyes in a couple of ways. i leave them hanging just inside the door so when i go in they are there.

I concur - I've got two 600 HPS cooking as we speak & they will truly fucking blind you if you look @em.

I used to do it with my 1000W HPS but after a while I started forgetting to put them on and now I rarely put them on.. I should though.

there are actually specially designed glasses for HPS light that allow you to see your plants with normal colors other than the normal yellow of the bulbs
