Summer heat

I am having a heck of a time with temps in my attic. I was thinking about hanging up a container with some water in it and putting dry ice in it. Since the vapor coming out is colder than the surrounding air it should fall to the bottom of my tent, keep my plant cool and supply them with a little bit extra CO2 right?

Assasin theres not much you can do to lower temps in attic durring the summer beside installing some kind of air conditioning.. if you somehow get some air movement into the attic from lower parts of the house that might lower temps a bit. but im in the same boat as you with the heat here.

give the dry ice a try it wont hurt..

I cant afford an AC unit right now so I am trying to think of economical ways to cool it as I only have a small enclosure. And this is the first time I've posted asking for advice on how to keep my attic cool.

I used to run into alot of heat issues in the summer, I grow in a shed in my yard. Years of substandard yields and plants dying from heat and stress I decided to use AC, I tried everything from enclosing the light and having fans take the heat away, dry ice, regular ice, hosing of the shed every morning .. nothing worked until I got a portable AC unit and a grow tent. The AC saved me. I paid around 100 bucks for my first one off craigs list it lasted a season ... got a new one last year and its still running strond for 350 from walmart, I jsut had to add an extended tube to vent the air away and i am set. 400 watt hps light crowing Chocolope, Ak47, Warlock and Chronic, they are doing great in this 100 degree feeling weather we are having.

The dry ice thing did cool the temps down by about ten degrees but that was only on the bottom centimeter of the tent. Plus there were no fans or lights on. Dry ice cooling does not work but Im thinking about using it as a cheap way to add CO2. Thanks most for the helpfull advice.
