Suggestions How to maximise a 4x2x5 tent

Results with COB LED's are not like those cheap purple LED lights that are useless other than for vegging/clones. I run those purple LED's for vegging as I like the tight nodes they grow, use COBs in a small tent and CMH in my main flower room. Main reason I run the COBs in the small (2x2x4') tent is ease of managing the environment in there, passive intake and active exhaust mainly to manage humidity. I've pulled over 6 zips in there with COBs, double that in your space and you have an idea of what COBs can grow.

Surprised nobody suggested the horizontal sun system.. I forgot where I read but it's supposed to be perfect for the 2x4.. Otherwise ask around the led section cuz COBs r perfect for those odd sizes as others have pointed out already.

Good luck!

Dont want to step on anyones toes boys but I have tried them all and after it was all said and done, I'm right back where I started...using HPS lamps. Nothing out preforms them. Yes they burn more power, yes they run hotter but the quality of the flower is superior in almost every aspect. Thats my experience. Believe me, I wish there was something that could give the same results that was cheaper to run and less labor intensive...thats why I tried all the others...

Just one mans opinion!! Peace ya'll
How have you tried them all when the technology is still advancing?

Do you have any comparison pictures? It's hard to take your word for it when you're claiming you've tried them "ALL".

It's misleading statements like this that scare growers from trying promising technology.

Good luck.

I keep seeing people fucking up the same way with COBs. You guys are putting waaaaaaaay too many over a small area, you really need to space them out more, there's a lot of light that isn't being used efficiently. People putting lenses and stuff on them to tighten the beam angle, reflectors, all of it. Don't do that. Why COBs are so good: here it is. Cross-lighting. You want as much wash-over from one LED to overlap with it's neighbors. That way, you just have an omnidirectional field of light, nothing in the tent will cast a shadow because it's being evenly illuminated from every angle. This is how you get massive yields, skinny, tall, and defoliated plants that will get even penetration all the way down. I think COB really only starts to shine so brilliantly in a 4*8, but they do work well in smaller tents. I think 4 CXB3590s is plenty for the space, maybe even 3.

There is no way to use HID lighting and grow quality cannabis in a space that small. Not practically. Most LED is not going to cut it either, you should look into this company: http://www.pacificlightconcepts.com/

It's pretty much the first commercial unit that uses the same driver and chips as the DIY guys. A good option though.

Jist that hps is better since you've tried them all?

Sorry I don't get it. I'm not making myself feel better. You're just getting upset that I pointed out you shouldn't be making comments like that when you really haven't tried them all.

Peace.
