Sugar Water

I was told that spraying a little sugar water on leaves burnt by sun or lights help the burnt leaves to regenerate. And also help keep aphids away. Is there any truth to this? I heard the sugar water can attract lady bugs to kill off the aphids and spider mites

What do you guys think,

Don't do that. Neem oil will keep the bugs off just fine. Burnt leaves are burnt, let them alone and sugar water will do more harm than good.

If it's outside sugar water also attracts many other creatures I'm not sure what those little milk bugs that attack most plants are called but they are from the same family pool as ants I think they are aphids, and they go crazy over sugar. It's the aphids that will attract ladybugs not the initial sugar water.

I have left the plant alone just wondering if there was any insight to this.
