Strain: Sugar black rose
Breeder: Delicious seeds
Medium: Roots organic, coco coir, pearlite, and compost.
5 gal. Smart pot
Lighting: veg.-400w mh, flower-1600w hps
Nutrients: General Organics line + floraliscious plus, actively aerated compost tea, sun leaves guano, and molasses.
Growth: Veg- from seed was above ground an cotyledons open by 3rd day. Fast growth and resistant to stress, ( had temp issues that effected two other strains in my garden but not the S.B.R.) Dark green color, wide leaves, and tight nodes typical of indica dominant varieties. Mild odor, and heavy feeding.
Flower- Not a lot of stretch, but more than most indica dominant strains. Increased feeding through flower, up to 2x normal amount with no burn. Pistils started showing around 18 days into flower. Not very dense buds but above average trichrome production, very frosty! Long foxtail buds that have a very sweet unusual smell. And pale orange color pistils.
Smell: Tangy sweet smell, with trace skunk undertones. Like sweet, tangy tropical fruits that have started to ferment. Very unusual, unique smell. Very nice curious smell. I give it a 9 out of 10. Also, it retains its smell after it is cut and drying, this is the only strain I have grown that never gets a chlorophyll (green) smell when its drying.
Taste: similar to the smell, as with most strains. Slightly sweet, with a musky sour aftertaste. Not too harsh, but a little throat irritation. Overall I give the taste a 7 of 10
High: Typical indica body high, but not a strong couch lock. Starts off slow but picks up speed and hits you hard in the head and moves to the body. Lasts a couple hours, then just fades away. No draging feeling, or foggy head. Great after work, relaxing medicine. Great for concentrates too. Overall I give it a 8 of 10
Yield: above average, I got 6 oz off 1 plant vegged for 6 weeks in 5 gal smart pot flowered under 1600wts of hps. Large cola and plentiful bud sites. I average about an oz per gal of soil, so this strain yielded very well. Overall 10 of 10. Very productive variety.
Bag aappeal: nice light green color, large calyxes, pale orange pistils, and thick coat of silver trichromes. Very appealing if you ask me. The only thing I can say negative about it is, the buds are not very dense, so overall 9 of 10.
Overall: 8.5\10 - I would recomend this strain for any level of experience, or method of growing. Very nice strain for indica lovers, or people looking for something unique. Suitable for commercial or head stash grow, and like I said good for extracts as well. If you get the chance, try this one out. It will no dissapoint.
