Sudden wilting

I have a black dog growing outdoor that just got tied and stretched out a little yesterday, the two lowest branch on the plant just started wilting but they are not the tied branches. The rest of the plant looks great as do the others that I tied out a bit. Looked the plant over and the only other thing I did was water them last night and this morning starting to give them transition to budding food. Not my Black Dog!!! I was so excited for this strain and it has been cursed the whole grow. Could it be something with the roots and not the plant I'm assuming because it has issues on both sides just praying it isn't going to move up the plant.

Hope its not verticillium fungus. Same M.O., usually the lowest branch would just wilt overnight in a seemingly healthy plant.

This morning it was fine, as soon as it got hot those two branches went back to wilting, there for the suggestion I'll look into it.

Make sure she's got plenty of water. If it's getting really hot outdoor and the Sun is beating down on her the leaves will wilt. That is her way of protecting herself from the Heat and conserve moisture. I had a pumpkin last year that did that all through July.

Yes I know what you mean this is definitely different, I think I may have over water and it looks like verticillium fungus. Not sure the leaves that get the most shade are wilted

I would be taking a real good look at the base of the plant where those branch off look for small piles of sawdust right where the branch meets the main stem, borers make plants do that

That's the first thing I did the stem looks funny(off color) but no sign of life of any sort, I may try to look under the plastic

How aerated is your soil?
Are you sure it isnt just staying soggy for too long?
Its interesting you say it was better before it got hot as well.
Are you sure the lack of osmosis isnt from the soil being too hot with added nutrient?
Unless it is something like a borer as thumper suggests.
Im suspecting something going on at the bottom of your root ball.
How often in the week, is the patch getting watered, and for how long?

Im leaning towards an over watering issue.

Yes my first thought was roots, but in one week I only watered two times and it's been 90+ here. The soil is very moisture retentive. 10 years of cows living in the spot the plants grow. The plant started in a different spot but was struggling, I basically planted it in the drainage ditch. Moved it here and it has done ok. This soil is so nitrogen Rick I died some budding food shit now to encourage flowers to start, suck a short time till frost. I could have fried it if the food was in the bottom of the bucket and it got a strong dose? All other plants loved it
I wondered if I injured some roots when I put stakes in to stretchh out the plant. The stem continues to change and doesn't look right.

First pic is the plant with wilt at bottom
Next 2 r stem
Last are some possible holes I found upon closer inspection...either way may just chop it so it doesn't spread to the rest? Took clones about a week ago should I ditch those? With New England weather we don't have room for error and id rather try again next year than keep something that may fuck all my shit up. I am sad though I was most excited about the Black Dog
