sudden changes in ph and ce

Hi! I have sudden changes in ph and ec from one day to the next in my hydroponic system. also evaporate at least 10 liters per day, so I have to add that 10 liters every day, which makes the ec even lower. I don't want to add too many salts so as not to generate an excess

What do you mean it evaporates 10 litres a day that you have to replace?

To me anything replaced should be at the tank ec/cf, is the system re circulating or run to waste?
Is the ec rising or falling, from what to what?
What are your temps in the room?

I'm a newbie so take what I say with a pinch of salt BUT

The water isn't just evaporating, your plants are drinking the water. The pH/EC sudden changes are because your plants are drinking the water.

If the ec is rising I'd be inclined to agree with you, in the summer hot periods I have to use a lower cf to allow for what evaporates through the plants.

I'm not new but I'm far from an expert, I think a plant works like a capillary system, what goes out of the leaves travels up the stem in a continuous stream, i think that's how we have to allow for hot weather, the environment sapps more water from the plant leaving it with to much feed internally, if we weaken the mix its avoided.
As always I'll happily stand corrected that's the conclusion I've arived at but its not necessarily correct, but it stands up to scrutiny?

So. First question I would ask you is, what is your system capacity and how many plants?
Second question would be what stage of growth are you in?
Also, yes. When its hot you lower EC/CF to make up for the extra water the plants are taking in/transpiring. You are on the right track.

Hello, first of all I clarify that I am using the google translator because I speak Spanish. answering your questions: what I mean by 10 liters per day is that the system level drops 10 liters per day.
I don't know what the ec / cf tank is, maybe it's what I call an inspection tank
Yes there are recirculated.
it has no waste.
the ec drops from 1.2 to 0.8 in one day, and the ph drops from 5.8 to 4.5 in one day
room temperature is 18 C in dark and 26 C in lightIMG_0112.JPG

the system has 20 autoflowering plants. and it is in the third week of growth, it is not in flowering yet

I must say I've never used a recirculating system but I can maybe help?
Are you using any medium like coco or rock wool?
If I take 1ltr of ec 1.5 and pour it through the plants the run of will be around 0.8 ec, iirc its called cation exchange, basically meaning that the coco will hold onto nutrient hence the deficit after going through a pot.

Are you using a re circ nutrient, due to the issues you're describing re circ feed is formulated differently to a coco feed for example.

I am using rock wool in a hydroponic basket, not in a pot. and the nutrient I use is power feeding short flowering, by green house

I'm sorry I can't help I'd only be guessing but pH and cf changes isn't in any way unusual.

Best of luck to you finding out about it.
I would put up a re circulating advice post if I were you.

Regards SD

Thank you, how do i put up a recirculating advice post?

In the same way you made your op here.
There will be someone running a system similar to yours or has done in the past, i would make the title something like...
"Advice/Help with re circulating systems please"
Or words to that effect.

Best of luck researching it.
