Suction cups suck....

So i bought a low profile res... put the pumps in it and the suction cups wouldnt stick to the surface because its got a surface texture (kind of dimply like a football, but not as bad). I was told that once there is water in the res the suction cups would stick no problem.
Well... bullshit.
So what do people do to keep their pumps stuck to the bottom?
Same is true of the air discs...

Silicone or glue the suction cups down?

I have used industrial strength velcro; like is used on RC cars, to hold things like bubblers to the bottom... granted there is a glue on both sides to hold each side in place so not sure if that is going to effect results...

Hmmm... thats a pretty good idea.

I have brackets on my pumps that click off and they have the suction cups... so i thought mabe if i Gorilla Glue those brackets down...
Velcro might be better though...

Open to all ideas though.

Sure it would be best and correct but do you really need them or is it so low it could come out of the water?

If you have the room, put the pump on a dinner plate, then place that into the res.
Clean the plate in bleach water first. Should solve all your problems!
Jesus... sometimes the solutions are so simple...
And i went and gorrilla glued the mo fos down...lol
