Succesful ways to transport clones

I need to move some clones quite a distance what is the best way to do so without damaging them. I was thinking of using a cooler with the lid cracked a little to allow fresh air. Any one got experience in this.

A cooler will do fine closed for 24 hours. No issue.
A pen with a clone rolled up inside it wet will go days with out roots.

moved to Colorado a few years back with clones sitting on my car floor, rooted in rapid rooters
Sent unrooted clones to the UK also... took 2 weeks....rooted 3 weeks later

I should have been more clear they will already be rooted. Thanks so far for the tips.

You can buy delivery boxes made for plants of different sizes, or like me ..out with a hijackers box knife and slice up some polystyrene to suit ...works well, I did leave a little window ..in the boxes so they can see some light ..!
