Subcool's super soil,,,,,, can i water with tap water or ????

will the chlorine in my tap water ruin my super soil???? is the super soil the same as compost?? enlighten me please

1. do NOT water with tap water! If it has chlorine in it (99% chance it does), it will kill every living thing in the soil, rendering it useless.

The answer is yes but only if 1 you set it out in a container to de-chlorinate for at the least 24 hrs or, aeriate it with air stones for a few hours.

Unless you're watering from the swimming pool, chlorine or even chloraramine water won't hurt the soil or plants at all. The concentration from the tap isn't that great. I do it all the time because I got tired of the mess while filling up the water can from a 5 gal, air stoning etc. If you can drink the water(fishies are an exception to this) and not keel over, the roots can drink it too without hurting the whole plant.

That is just plain bad and uninformed information!

If that were the case, my outdoor grow and garden (both organic), would be nothing but bare patches of dirt (they aren't), because they get watered with nasty tap water from the hose.

I DO dechlorinate the water for making teas and the like, but not when I use 50 gallons+ to water my outside plants.

Tap water works just fine I fill up my containers and let them sit a few days before touching them the only problem I have is the ph is pretty high and thanx to someones reply I got ph down and my ladies are amazing now
