Subcool germination guide?

I recently obtained some Conquistador and Qleaner seeds and am wondering the best way to grow them? I germinated in paper towels until they popped 18 hours later. Then moved them into Rapid Rooters.

All have a tap root coming out of the RR's but no secondary roots.

I just want to give them the best chance they have at growing big and strong.

Is there a Subcool guide to seed germination? Can someone point me to a thread if it already exists? I have found guides to almost all aspects of growing his gear but this.

At this point do I let them grow for awhile in the RR's or transfer them into 1 gallon pots as soon as I see a tap root?

Do they need a humidity dome? Or plastic bags rubber banded on the pots?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would put them in pots now and personally wouldn't use any humidity domes or anything, but we'll see what others say.

I know this is a 2 year old thread, but this method seems awesome. The only thing im not sure about is if you put em in an actual propagation dome or just the lid of the dome (turned upside down) like in the pictures. This looks way more convenient than the paper towel method.

Sub's dome is just two clear plastic bins sandwiched together. You should keep them domed until they sprout, that's it.

I'm the newb of newbs, I've tried rapid rooters, rock wool cubes, any and every other snake oil in between that can be found. I found subs method and just substituted fox farms light warrior in party cups for the rapid rooters and I've gotten 100% germination since. I wet the light warrior down and soak the seeds for 6-8 hours in water, plant them, put a small 6500 cfl over them up high so its more like ambient light and walk away. Usually by the time the top of the dirt starts to dry out, sprouts will start popping.

The statement about having to really try to make them not sprout is true, you really have to try hard to make them not germinate. Just dont let them dry out completely and youll be golden.

Yup...after I read that, reality struck. Give them a little moisture and a little warmth, leave it up to the seeds to do the hard work.
