Styrofoam ice chest cool reservoir

I was walking out of the store today and they were selling those Styrofoam ice chests you take to the park or the lake or something. They're so cheap, and just the right size for a closet grow, and easy to cut and modify that I wondered if anyones ever tried using one as a reservoir for DWC or aeroponics or something? The only problem I could think of is that they're white and pass light through easily, but if you covered it with mylar or black plastic it might work idk.

Spend the extra 5$ for atleast a rubbermaid tub thats rigid plastic, or s cheap plastic cooler. Those foam coolers break super easy... Really easy...
