Stunted growth during flowering? Please Help.

Hey everyone, I have a question about my plant here which is in day 31 of flower as of today. I have been a little concerned about the rate of bud development. This strain I got from bagseed grew very fast and productively during veg but seems to be one of those 10 week sativa flowering strains or something because the bud development just looks small considering the 31 days she has been in flower. I did supercrop some branches at around day 14 of flower because they were getting too tall and almost touching the light so it was necessary...could this have stunted the plant? If so, will it be able to grow to its full potential if provided the proper conditions from now on? Does this plant look normal for day 31 of flower? I need some opinions...any help would be much appreciated!

Some pictures of the size of the bud development so you guys have an idea what I'm workin wit:

Looks like it needs more light. Other than that it honestly looks mostly healthy. Longs stretchy internodes suggest not enough light.

the buds look fine for the type of plant you are growing...equatorial sativa, so your suspicion that its just a long flowering sativa is correct. Ive had some haze that didnt even show sex much less buds 5 weeks into 12/12 before

Thank you for the input. :) Yes, this is what I suspected since the plant isn't showing any deficiencies and I am using a 250W HPS...hopefully it takes off a bit more on the production during the next half of the floweing phase...we'll see. Thanks for the reply guys.

While that plant is definitely sativa Dom, that plant needs light. Ime even landrace sativas don't generally stretch like that with enough light and tend to get leafy. And end up making like Thai stick branches. And the buds would still be filling out more, even with the internodes stretched so much, at 30 days. That plant needs more light.

Hmm..I used a 120W LED during veg and put it under a 250W HPS at day 14 of flowering. The stretch most likely happened during veg....I don't trust my HPS ballast though...specially since I downgraded the capacitor from 400 to 250...I think I'll go back to using the LED. Thanks for the advice.

Wait...

You took a 400 watt ballast and changed its capacitor to make it 250 watts?

I would add the led as an additional light of you want. But don't swap. A 250 watt hps will do Better than a 150 watt blurple led.

Yeah I changed the capacitor cuz I thought 400 would run too hot. I don't get why a 2x2' plant would need more than 250 watts of light. Maybe the HPS could be putting out less power than 250W. I'll just put in the LED+CFLs or something.

Next time I'm sticking to high powered white LEDs.

250 watts should adequately cover a 2x2 canopy. You won't get very deep into it thought.
