Does anyone know what is what is wrong with my plants? Two plants are decent the other four are stunted and new growth is extreemely bushy and resemble leettuce leaves. There has also been some light brown in the middle of a few leeaves. A few tops of some leaves have grown in an L shape. I am using foxfarm ocean forrest soil (which i wont ever use again) and 8ml of cal mag per 2 gallons of water. Lights are 450 ppfd 18 hours on 6 off. Any advice would be appreciated thanks its my first grow and i cant afford a bad crop. 6 weeks in only 5 or 6 inches tall

Because i read that ocean forrest runs hot for plants and i dont think they have any defencies yet. Used my tax money for the setup and been digging into other funds for things i diddnt realise i would need it just went over budget fast

Ocean forest shouldn't be too hot for your plants at this point. So why are you feeding calmag?
I hate to break it to you, but the first couple harvests aren't the greatest, there is a definite learned curve, especially if you haven't grown anything before.

Started giving them cal mag when they werent showing any signs of growth about two weeks ago and they gained an inch or two so just kept with it. The soil might not be runninng too hot but i diddnt want to add anything and end up making it too hot

Too much calcium can interfere with some uptake.

If you are using TAP water as source - most city water already has enough calcium and magnesium. PLUS so does the medium ( soil ).

FFOF ( ocean forest ) can seem a bit “ hot “ upfront to many strains but as long you dont screw shit up by dumping things into it “ trying to correct “ .

Plants will acclimate to it over time.
It will feed that plant enough for weeks on water alone.

Stop dumping unnecessary elements in to it.

So just adding cal mag for no reason. What's your water source?

Ok ill cut off the calmag and see if there are any changes but the plants have been stunted since the first 2 weeks and they werre just getting ph tap water
