Struggling with fan placement in a 4x4 tent

Can someone show me a proper fan placement for my tent. I’m trying to find the best possible way I can optimize my air flow.

Fan placement is relative to your grow. If your light runs hot, you might has several fans in different areas pointed at the light.

If you just need general airflow, you can put one in each corner, pointed at an angle to make a "cyclone" effect to get good airflow around your entire grow.

If you dont defolitate, youd maybe want some fans down low, to prevent heat/moisture buildup which can cause powdery mildew issues.

Again, it's fairly relative to your environment and needs

Thanks bro. I’m gonna try that cyclone method with 4 6 in clip fans. I got hlg 600 and i gotta control this hot fucker

I just got the 260w HLG 648.. I had temps as high as 95°f in my 2x3, so I understand your pain.

I have the exhaust sucking air off the top of the driver, I have a fan in the top of the tent pointed down at the top of the heatsink, and a fan about midway up the tent pointed up at the quantum boards.

So far today, with the fan setup, my temps looked like this (18/6):
Overnight(low/high): 70°f/50%rH
6 hours in: 77°f/45%rH
10 hours in: 81°f/44%rH
15 hours in: 82°f/41%rH

Seems to be doing the trick so far for the heat, but I'll likely need a 3rd fan once I get into flower

Yes it heats up the tent and the humidity starts to drop. I’m going to have to get a bigger humidifer to keep up with this. Send a pic of what it looks like if you don’t mins

Heatsink is roughly 22in x 8in, QBs fill the entire heatsink, driver is XLG-240-M-AB

I have the potentiometer at roughly 60%, and light is 30in above the top of my plants. 30k lux at the top of my 4 week old white widow. Hopefully the plant grows up into the higher lux areas for flower, so I dont have to increase brightness/heat... but I'm mainlining my plant, so well see!

Just keep your eye on it, itll be fine.

The driver adds heat as well.. if possible, mounting it outside your tent might help the heat.

And cut those wires and tape em off, or cap em or something for god sake (power off first!)

Lmao ok! It’s the dimmer wires. They don’t shock but I’ll cap em tomorrow. Thanks for everything bro. You really helped tonight

The air exhaust cfm can also play a role in heat control in a tent. A speed controller on an exhaust fan can be useful for dialing in what works to get the heat out fast enough without imploding the walls of the tent.

OK, I see fans located all about the tent but I don't see any exhaust. How are you venting the tent?
