Struggling to get jars below 74% humidity

In second week of curing . And can't get hats below 74%
.room temperature if particularly humid but I usually run fans . Which really doesn't make a while lot of difference in the space I'm in.

The bud was dried for 5 days with bend and snap stems so it was ready to go
If your humidity is high, you won't be able to go lower. Even with the snap, you didn't dry long enough. Get them out of those jars and onto racks or you'll lose them. Wait for buds to hit 67 before you re-jar.

The snap is the quick and dirty home method. If finances can swing it, a Water Activity Meter is what the big boys play with. You can get them on Amazon for as little as $150. WA should be at 65wa before curing.

There's an easier way to know where your buds are without using the snap. Take a small snap lid container, fill it with a few buds, and drop a hygrometer in it and snap that lid shut.

Keep in mind that you should use 2 or 3 to get an accurate RH read. You can get a Caliber 4 cigar hygrometer which is about $50 if you want pin point accuracy.

EDIT: Fuuuuuuuck me. I just saw those pictures. A whole plant takes 10 full days to dry IF it's in the proper environment. You need an industrial dehumidifier in there asap. Read this How To Dry And Cure

Quick fix: Get 3 dozen wardrobe boxes (or any big ones) and make drying boxes out of them and hang your branches in them. Paper bags will kill you at this point. Cut all the branches off them, then trim ALL the leaves off. Hang your branches for about 5 more days. For gods sake, monitor them.

This ladies and gentleman is what you get when you don't research and work a plan.

I have 2 Caliber 4's and they both read slightly different. So it's not pin point accuracy. I just buy the cheaper ones now and set them all out and see how close they are. Most are within a couple % of each other, so close enough for me.

my caliber 3 and 4 were usually not the same but within 1% most times

The cheap round ones can be off +-5%, but are usually better than that. We test them all before we ship them out, and throw out anything that is off more than 2%.

The Caliber 4's have to be calibrated. I think they come with instructions, but I'm sure YouTube can help.

I didn't know you sold hygrometers. Do you have a link, because I could use some new ones?
