strong chlorophyl smell, did I cut too early?

I trimmed out the biggest, most mature plant. While hanging the rooom reeked of chlorophyl. After it dried out som(a few days), I cut the buds and put them in a zip lock. I just opened it and it again reeked of chlorophyl. Did I cut too early?

possibly u didn't dry long enough. watch the baggie closely for signs of mold. make sure to "burp" the bag often for a couple of weeks. GL

you will sometimes smell unwanted smells while the bud is drying,

but as long as there is no light whatsoever in the drying room, the air isn't moving too fast, and the humidity is at or around 50-60%...

and you dry the bud to a good moisture level like 55-65%

your bud will take back on its good smells in the mason jars as it cures

bagging them will only make matters worse

Don't put them into baggies after you dry them. PUT THEM INTO airtight wide mouthed mason jars in a cool dark place and burp them a couple times a day to remove built up stale air. Baggies will give you MOLD and fast, at least that is what I have seen a buddy of mine do. Get too excited, baggy it up and bad things happen. Besides, never store in baggies IMO. just breaks everything down. But then again, what the fuck do I know.

Dry them in the dark at 45-55% humidity. 65-75 degrees F. Air circulating in the room. After 10 or so days the stems should snap or almost snap, bottom line is they will not bend easily. At this point, put them in mason jars or airtight curing jars and burp them once or twice a day till the enzymes and shit have eaten away the chlorophyll. After a week or so your bud will smell like weed and you can store it in glass jars and smoke it like normal potheads do. If you don't follow a routine along these lines... Ur bud will suck forever
