I had some seedling sprout up and after about 4 days they became about 3" tall with not much leaf growth. Yesterday I came in from work and found one of my plants fallen over. Looked at the stem and it had a spot about a half inch long that was only about 1/2 the thickness that it should be maybe even more. It was really really thin. It did not break into or anything and the little leaves on top were still green so I put more soil in my cup while propping up the stem with some tweezers.
Today I come in from work and another has done the same thing. I put dirt around the little stems hoping roots will shoot out of those injured stems.
I've seen pics of really stretchy stems like a foot tall but mine are just 3" tall and the stem just seemed to pull apart. Those stems looked terrible looking. My other plant that had fallen over yesterday was good and green today with just the leaves poking up out of the dirt. Not sure how what happend will effect them in the long run.
Have any of you guys experienced this?

sounds like you forgot to put light over them, didnt put the light close to them, tried starting them next to a window, or used the wrong kind or an insuficiant bulb. I use a small piece of metal like a needle but with a loop on the top to tie my brussle sprout plants to because they dont like to stand up straight when they start. Hope this helped, good luck
