Stretching plants

So noticed my girls are stretching a bit. They are four days old. I lowered lamps. Kingbright 320w. Wasn't dimmed but just dimmed just a tiny bit because I lowered the lights. Lights sit around mabe 35inches away from plants

Raise light up all the way, turn light up 100%. Ensure temps/humidity in correct range, then leave them alone. Already looking overwatered.

Don't touch them again until the pots are light; dry. Stare at em all you want, but resist the urge to water or do anything to them.

This completes one wet/dry cycle.

A high output T5 with the 54 watt bulbs is a worthwhile investment for starting seeds. No raising or dimming the light. Just keep it a few inches above and you're golden. You can get a 2 ft double bulb fixture for pretty cheap. I use a 4 ft 4 bulb and it can take the plants well into veg.

It might be old technology but it works and will give you nice short sturdy seedlings.

I use a couple 4ft 2 bulb for veg starts and they’re great. I don’t even use a special tube. One warm one cool
