Stressing Before Harvest?

I've heard of stressing a plant right before harvest so it will produce resin to protect itself. Does anyone here do this and if so what techniques do you use?

whats up,Lestacy i'm just as new as you but if I remember correctly just add a metal halide in with your hps or if using cfl's mix in a bright light with your soft bulbs. The point of this is because the plant trying to protect itself from the bright light will produce more resin on the leaves to shield itself. Now check on this more before you do it cause i haven't tried it yet(in process tho) but just passing info that i've picked up. oh and there are store bought products like banana mana & purple maxx.

some people think it works and some people think it makes the buds inferior.. you could experiment with it by having two identical clones and stressing one and not the other and see what happens.....cover your ears when they scream

I stop flushing 3 days before harvest and 24hrs of darkness before harvest. The buds turn out dank and sticky and stinky. LOL...

3 days.
