I was at my buddies the other day and his girlfriend mentioned to me that at around a 3 days before harvest to poke a needle in the stalk of the plant to stress it out which is supposed to give it bigger or more packed buds is this true or bs?

how could this possibly be true? i would think it would focus on fixing the hole in it's stalk if anything.

I think it would kinda be like the experimental method of cutting the tips to stress the plant to produce a higher amount of THC in the bud, but theres no proof tht it works.

when a plant is outside does it still get enough sun even if its cloudy out? and is it still getting more natural light than a bulb?

ive heard of sticking a tack through the stem to "increase potency" but i highly doubt that it would do much of anything except piss you plant off

seeing how you can still be sunburnt on a cloudy day i'd have to say the clouds are better than a bulb. But... i have been known to be wrong before :)

uv rays are stronger on cloudy days
Not true, being under a large rain cloud will block 1/1000000 of the radiation

It basically is the same amount of radiation, but the cloud is able the block that incredibly tiny amount if you are directly beneath it.

Its barely noticeable on electronic meters.

Plant under clouds = leaves slowly grew and over height of plant reached.

Plant under 150watt CFL = stopped height growth and began way more leaf growth.
