you want a low budget easy way? go dig yourself a hole prolly 2 feet wide and two feet deep, get some fish from the store and chop em up, put them at the bottom of the hole. throw the dirt back in there (only if it looks like decent dirt if it doesn't i would recommend going and getting some cheap all organic no nute soil from wal-mart, lowes, or home depot, and mix it with the soil). burry the fish, and mix some composted cow manure, and/or cheap bat guano high in N (you'll see N-P-K on the box's) get the one that's high in N, and mix a couple tablespoons in with the top 12 inches of soil. make sure the soil is very airy, like not packed down. and dig out a hole to put your plant in.
once you do that, water every 3 or 4 days depending on your conditions. you want to water about a half a gallon more every time, and not around the base of the plant you want to water around the outside edge of hole you made. this make the roots stretch more to reach the water making the root system strong because it travels further to reach a water source. go to the store and get unsulphered molasses, mix a couple tablespoons in every time you water. what you doing by doing that is creating a nice little organic pool of living microorganisms (or some shit like that
). think about it, you have fish nutrients, cow nutrients, and guano nutrients all in one now your mixing it with molasses it just hits the plants spot. and this will make your root system stronger and BIGGER which will result in very nice healthy, big, and big stemmed, plant.
ill give you more help if you want to do it my way. but this is just for the vegetation stage. for flowering stage you need a couple different things from the store that are also cheap. see my whole outlook on this, is if you go totally organic you'll get a good return, if done right, and for very cheap i must say! but of course, my land is different then yours so is all of the organic nutrients i use, and the way the sun hits my plants. so my outcome WILL be different then yours, and everyone else on here.
if anyone see's a problem in my way and wants to correct it please do, im always up for input. remember change can always lead to better things.
