Anyone grown strawberry cough by Dutch passion? A experienced friend just got finished with his first crop of it and he says the smell and taste is totally lacking.. Any tips for this strain that will make it taste and smell better. I know he should cure it but I have no clue how this is one of the “best selling” strains on attitudes website... Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated : )

The taste and smell are totally lacking because Dutch Passion never had, and is not currently in possession of, the Strawberry Cough cut. Their choosing of strain names is totally based off of what is popular at the time and not by what genetics were used to make the seeds. In other words, they are liars. They make up names that sound good in order to steal our money. They stay in business because of all the misleading names used in their marketing, not because of the quality of the finished product.

If your friend is still looking for Strawberry Cough crosses, he'd should check out Strawberry Daiquiri, and Brian Berry Cough, by TGA seeds.

Actually Kyle Kushman did in fact give or sell a clone of the original strawberry cough to Dutch passion years ago but dutch passion worked their own version of SC from that clone or more likely they lost the original clone and just mislabeled another strain in order to sell beans. Dutch passion did the same thing with Short's blueberry. I was lucky enough to have grown those DP blueberry seeds made from DJ's cut back in 2002 before DP lost it or worked it to its current offering which is shit in comparison.

I did buy some hazeman strawberry cough because I feel it's not unreasonable to believe he sourced a SC cut but I don't have high hopes for a strawberry pheno.

I ran a strawberry cough several years ago when I dealt with Herbie's. Don't remember the breader but it was strawberry and it did make you cough. Since then I have been very happy stateside. I'll have to check some of these out! Thanks!
