strange odor

i recently have planted my first seeds and have had my lights blasting on them for a day or so now inside an aquarium i have. now is it normal to have a weird odor or not? its very hot and humid inside. do you think it could just be from the soil or what? thanks.

i do have air ventalation (could be better, im about to go fix that) and the smell kinda smells like some kind of piss or weird gross ordor of that sort.

Hey, it could also be that the seeds have rotted. If the seeds have yet to sprout, the light isn't needed.

I did an experiment where I put a couple seeds directly into soil and had lights on them. When the soil dried out after every watering, it had an odor similar to what you described.

I definately recommend germinating the seeds in a wet paper towel before planting them.
