Are all strains either indica or sativa, like indica white widow or sative white widow? or are we talking about the difference between indica and white widow?

That's not what i meant. I am asking if indica and sativa are different strains or if they're one of two type of characteristics all strains possess ? Almost like, is it the difference between an apple and a peach or is it the difference between a sweet apple and a sour apple?

lol.....bud is not like an apple
sativa's take longer to grow compared to indicas
the buds on a sative are scragly compared to dense indica bud..
all in all indicas are the fucking bomb hands down i dont care what anyone has to say,for indoor growing

ahah you're not answering the question. are all strains either indica or sativa: i.e. is that plant a white widow sative or white widow indica? or is it like: is that plant white widow, indica, or sativa?

Most strains you will pruchase are a blend, ie: 60-40, 50-50 sativa/indica, most seeds list the traits. Not two difficuly, search is your friend! Yhere are 3 distinct types of cannibus, sativa, indica and ruderalis(pardon my spelling!) Sativa flower longer and are an energetic high, inidcas are short flowering couch lock and ruderalis are autoflowering. Hope that helps.

there are actually 4 types of smokable cannabis (excluding hemp) and most ppl only know about 2. theres sativas and indicas. the others are ruderalis which is what is in autoflowering strains, but they dont contain much thc unless mixed with others. and then there is afganica which is hard to tell the difference between that and indica. its leaves are shorter and fatter and is generally a little smaller than indica. they all come from different regions and all have different qualities. most seed companies make a hybrid or combination of indica and sativas for selective breedings to produce the ultimate bud!!! theres all different types of books on this

Well done, i thought that was going to go on for ever until you showed up. +reps. I could never remember what the fourth one was, afganica.

I would like to add that hemp is actually a sativa. Bread to have low THC. As how our but is bread to have HI THC. Pun intended.

yea i found out about it in jorge cervantes grow bible. i only knew of the other 3. it says, "The most common examples of pure c afghanica include the many different hash plants and afghani stains. c afghanica is cultivated exclusively for druges with much of the resin being made into hashish. it is known for the high cannabinoid content. many growers and breeders do not distinguish C. afghanica from c. indica, lumping them both into the C. indica category." then its got a pic of a leaf from an afghanica next to it and its like a chode. its almost as fat as it is wide.crazy...

hemp wasnt purposely bred to have low THC. it was bred for other traits and the carriers of those traits had low thc. it was bred for the long tall frame that hase lots of easily removable strong thread. through the selective breeding the THC was less desirable in the traits of hemp bc it makes it sticky and harder to break down. so plants that grew taller, thicker, stronger, less sticky, smaller flowers, because those are better traits for hemp. even after consuming hemp oil you can still fail a drug test though.
