Strain selection

Hopefully this won't sound like a silly question. I figured I'd ask those that should know. I'm currently working with a small space, about 3x3 with an a 8 ft ceiling. Eventually, I'll be switching to a different location with more width but less height. Currently, I'm only using CFLs (budget as well as experience). I intend to pretty much stick with soil and remain as close to completely organic as I realistically can.

Out of the TGA strains, what would be best to start with? The main reason I'm asking is the specimens I've seen pics of are rather large bushy masterpieces that are grown by master gardeners. It's tough to imagine what can be done with those plants on a smaller scale lighting wise.

I'd like to recommend Pandora's Box. I poppes two and got these two(pictured at week three) I grow in a small cab and I've topped them to form lots of bud sites. The cab is 3 feet wide, 6 feet tall, and 2.5 feet deep. Lights are a 400hps cooltube. My temps at the hottest are 77F and at the coolest 60F (night time). I think you can grow anything in a cab but you gotta train it and tie it down. If you want a small bushy TGA strain, the strain menu says that Deep Purple and Querkle are short in stature, I've never tried them though. hope that helped

I would go with querkle or deep purple..Maybe even space queen or tiny bomb should be good from tga

I would also suggest Pandora's Box. I heard it is a hardy strain that is good for novice growers. Anything from TGA is great in my experience. I am also a novice grower and I had a wonderful results with Jack the Ripper which is from the same family as Pandora's Box. Low stress training is a great way to control the size of your plants while maximizing yeild.

Jilly Bean to start. There is a small pheno that is full of orange. I had an 18" tall plant yield 1.5z dry.

Both Querkle and Deep Purple stay short, no stretch at all in flower. That cuts down on having to adjust spacers under the pots, or moving lights up. Plus they are indica dominant, which makes them a little tougher and more forgiving for new growers. Just a couple of things to consider.

Yeah thats why those are my choices

Jillybean looks like a big yielder as is the flav. Tcurtiss is growing the flav amongst other things check him out his grows are serial

Yeah he got some buds in high times magazines...I might have to try out more tga strains...

I've been paying attn to a thread that Hobbes did with some different types of LST. When I get my new cabinet built, I'll be growing a few of these strains.
