strain info

I'm looking for a strain that tends to have a great yield with more dense flowers and maybe close nodes for bigger buds. I just finished a chem/og grow that was for the most part great. good density and potency. It hermies at the end though. The one who gave them to me let me know about this after the fact that theirs does too. so must be a bad strain.

The strains I would like info on are platinum og, grand daddy purp, white widow, super lemon haze, dead head and blue dream. I know the gdp has tight nodes and dense flowers. I will be using scrog with co2.

A quicker finishing strain would be awesome.

I'm currently doing Fruityjuice and I think it fits your criteria. It's my first time growing it and it blows my mind how resinous it looks; dark green just caked with frosty crystal goodness. So far the buds are dense and large, and the smell is out of this world.

I don't know how hard it is to get seeds...mine were given to me so not sure what the source was.

Perhaps I'm wrong but from what I've seen:

a quick finishing strain with a high yield is an oxymoron.

I wouldn't say that check out critical mass 45-55 days for flowering and its one of the highest yielding plants. I'm sure big bud has a short flower time too as they have the same parents just different selection.

Just as a heads up, the real deal blue dream clone is usually a lanky bitch. I grow big plants (for indoors) generally, but my blue dream definitely do not have tight internodal spacing. Great plant for either SCROGging from veg on or for topping in mid-late veg and LST in flowering.

Wow, that is a lot of yield for that short a flowering time.

My GDP from seed was a medium yielder at best. Nodes were average I guess. Flowers were not all that dense, medium dense.

I grow it for the buzz, no other reason.

Do you have experience with any of the other strains? What environment do you provide? Light.. etc

why how goods it yield? I take it its one of your crosses is it your best yielder or what? I know I've heard og don't yield so good haven't heard much about chem dog though.
So many different cuts of OG..... I have always been under the impression that the real deals are higher yielding. Perhaps you're thinking of Bubba? Of course, I'm sure there has been a little loss of vigor over the years, like with certain other trendy name lines. I certainly haven't been able to find anything like the diesel I ran from 2002 to 2006, but it seems like the whole medicinal thing just made quality clones harder to get.

Only 1 pheno i came across will finish under 55 days i brought most to a full 9 weeks and even some to 10, also every seed won't be high yielding out of 10 i had going only one was very heavy yielding massive buds from top to bottom

You're right that it does take time to grow the big colas, but some of the pure indicas combine quick finishing time with relatively high yield.

Also, there is yield per crop, and yield per unit time.

Big plants with big yields are nice, but you may very well end up with more total bud mass if you turn over lots of decent yielding fast-flowering plants in the same space and time.
