Storing clones?

I'm just wondering how people preserve their clones for next season if they were to grow outdoor?

They obviously cant keep it under a light for a year - so how do people isolate good clones and save them?

keep them under a light for 4 months, clone it/them, 4 months, clone it, new season begins.

that's how i'd do it. no different to keeping a mother plant

Makes sense, was hoping for a more simplistic means, such as freezing clones but I suppose that would just kill them :p

yes, freezing clones = death of said clones.

In order to keep them you dont need much, same as a indoor mom room setup. I assume you want to keep them long term?

haha, not to laugh at your expense, but that notion amuses me :lol:

it's not that much work keeping a mother plant. just space really. unless you'd rather not have the plants in the house, which would be fair enough.

Clone's will always need light no matter what you have heard make sure that the clone's are put into soil if you are doing a outdoor grow.Then just keep topping the plants to keep there size down.Even better just get a room where a mother can be kept and clone her a month or so before there needed...........

No worries, I'm an outdoor guy and cant keep any crop in the house. I am going to construct a simple greenhouse from remay, i hope it keeps the clones alive long enough for them to get their roots and be ready to be put into the ground.

Just exploring the idea, if I had some good specimens from seed this season.
I was hoping storage would not require a set up.
