I was just wondering whats the best way of storing weed long term to keep it potent, how long can it stay good and how much of its thc is lost on time scale

Sorry, can't help. I never manage to keep any around for very long...

Personally I use tinted Ball jars...air tight and check it every day...to smoke a little

hahah i know what you both mean but i mean for long time like months and months i was told air tight bags (vacuumed) and in freezer will preserve?

Just be careful about the freezer method, I've HEARD that being in the freezer for long periods of time freezes the trichomes and they become brittle and fall off the bud easier(not all but some). Again I have never had to do this but this is what I've HEARD. You might want to read more up on that.

keeping it in the fridge prolongs the life of bud so Ive heard. I dont see it doing any harm at the least

Actually a fridge or freezer is not the best idea.

Keep them in mason jars (I recently painted my jars black to keep light out) in a cool dry place. I don't know what you mean by "long term", but buds can stay fine for months and years this way. I've only managed 6 months
