run it at night, that will help a little, is their any way you could move it to a basement or something similar? do you have any other rooms with an a/c unit? lol, I dont think i could take those sort of temps w/o one. :peace:

nope, think i'm pretty much at the best option. gonna try insulating the shit out of it. the thing i'm worried about is how much is it gonna cost to keep an 8x8x8 room cool with fire beaming out of the sky?

youve got a very good point, lol, thats gonna be expensive as hell probally. you said your legal and you have your plants outside right now, do you have any neighbors to worry about or anything? cuz you could just grow outside during the season and start in the room when temps go down more in the fall.

what is with this stupid myth of not watering your plants?
how could that help. if you want a good flush dont use release soil

Well they cant take in more nutrients if the soil is bone dry. Then you just wait until they turn yellow and you cut them down... I thought everyone knew that sheesh.

i'm seriously considering it. i already have a 3 footer that i tied down and gonna keep tying it down maybe make a vine out of it. i was kinda stressing that i would have to put my clones into the flowering room too soon to take clones off them so maybe i'll just leave the fuckers outside. i have 2 acres of land but i can easily see everything 2 doors down from me. then i'm gonna have to put the plants away when family comes over every once in a great while so.. might have to use a forklift but it's possible. got a skytrak in the back yard (5 story forklift) lol. dad's a roofing contractor, had an extra one.

lol. i'm definitely watering the hell out of them now. 1/2" deep finger test as compared to the 2-4" i used to use. a couple of the others are starting to look bulky and dense now too actually =D i'll take a picture tomorrow. the problems i've been having now is with my 3 footer out back. i'll have to take a picture of that too. the leaves were getting eaten by something and i didn't know what it was for a while. one day though i went out there and a squirrel jumped off the woodpile by the tops of the plants and ran away lol. we've had that house my whole life and i don't remember ever seeing a squirrel in our yard. ANYWAYS... i laughed my ass off and then laughed again when i sprinkled cayenne pepper all around the area. seems he came back for one last bite though cuz i found more cracked and bitten leaves. i saw a lizard run away one day but..i don't think they would eat plants would they?

well i didn't have ventilation on my first grow because the guy at the hydro shop said i didn't need it. i have plenty of ventilation with 6" ducting now. since just after my first harvest. they did love it but i'm still like jeez i know i didn't screw up that badly to have such bad yield. even worse, if i don't prop the door of my grow room open on a 75 degree day, it'll be 90+ in there. i live where in a couple months it could be 110 making my grow room 130-140? . looking at ac units but i really think i might as well just cut a hole in my pockets. or sign my checks to pg&e. i can only have 6 mature plants legally and i smoke a qp every 2 months. i have about $1000 invested into the grow room but i just don't have any faith i'm gonna be able to cool it down.
Think about adding Co2..

Works great with higher temps...85-95.. If you can get it down that low.

that was my plan but i'm just getting really psyched out by the fact that my grow room could hit 100 right now if i didn't leave the door open. hasn't hit the 80's yet outside.

I think your going overboard their, plus the sticking your finger in the soil method is far outclassed by the lifting test. give them a thorough watering when it needs it next, lift the pot(some even weigh them, but its not needed), remember how heavy it is, now and how heavy it is dry and compare the 2. might sound hard at first but its actually extremely easy once you get a little practice in.

damn, it's funny cuz i do that with my other plants but i assumed the finger test was more accurate. now that i think of it though, it makes sense that the lifting method would be the best. i do water thoroughly though so dry spots wouldn't be a problem. you water and water again 45 minutes later? i haven't done it very often but i felt like i should have been.

just sampled some from the biggest plant and i'm so faded. just cut a little .3 or .4 off the biggest nug. shit looked like it was covered with diamond dust. was smooth and tasty too. that's how the whole plant looked when i decided to chop it =] sparkly like some bling lol. and pretty sure most of the pistils were orange. 13.5 was the weight this morning. was 15.5 when they were dry enough to cure. what do you guys guess would have been the yield if i'd left it on for another couple weeks?

here's those pics finally. ground up all the trimmings (in the cup) and shook the shit out of them on the grinder screen. even the kief was creeper. hella smooth and then a minute or two later, FADED. thinking about running the rest through a coffee filter or something. my biggest plant (almost 4 months old. same age as the rest of the Super ATF i harvested and the ones in the 3rd pic), the top is on the left tied down to a stake. my clones: left side are SFV OG Kush and the right side are GDP. anyone else have pics come out like that under the hps light? well i'm lazy, tough shit lol.
