stinky soo soon

im use to indoors and ive done a few outdoor grows before but i could never smell my plants before they started to flower..but now its july and i dont notice any flowers yet. but when i go to my grow sites it smells like someone is smoking a joint right in the middle of my grow... could it be because i have well over 50 plants at each site that that is the reason why it stinks. or is it normal for marijuana to start smelling during veg. it does smell pretty dank. most of the plants are unknown. i do have 10 or so "texada time warp" plants and they smell like heaven. yes i know its mythical strain now. but i did buy them off a guy who grows it on texada island. so who knows. he appartally back crossed a TT clone with NL. and then re crossed it until he saw the traits of the tt agian.

yea my unknow indica aka lil ma first smelled like a skunk when i got her a month ago now she smells like furty pebbles. Jah bless

sorry for sounding like a newb. but i thought it was a plants flower that made a smell and not the plant itself. that seems to be the case for most other plants. and i want to know what it is exactly that makes marijuana smell like marijuana..also why does it emit such a smell?

A friend once told me that the reason weed smelled like skunky sometime is that the buds and the skunks spray both have the same naturally occurring chemical that causes the stink. Thats probably not the only stink factor in mj but thats at least one to check off the list.

if a skunks spray smells like MJ then why the hell would people find it so repulsive...ive never had an encounter with a skunk so i have no idea what one smells like.

I have a Warlock that is about 4 weeks old and she is stinking bad.

i always say that if it smells in veg then thats a good sighn that it will reek in flower. and a real skunk smells like shit it can make u nausious

mine smell pretty strong in the middle of the day too...... yes real skunks stink my dogs killed one and the smell wasnt like weed at all, tho I have seen dead skunks on the side of the road that had a weed'esque smell, I can see the correlation, but I think it is after the skunk has been dead a few days or something

I've got the same thing going on. I've got 20+ plants, from mystery seeds, growing on my greenhouse and some smell considerably more skunky than others. I planted a crap ton of mint near them to kind of mask the smell.

Yeah I had a skunk that would routinely show up in the gardens in the front of the house-- my dog was obsessed with it, but fortunately didn't get sprayed. A skunk at close range takes on a whole other smell-- nothing like weed.

I have a 2 month old rocklock plant (part warlock part rockstar) that is ready to be moved to flower and by far its smellier than my g13 and sharksbreath plant...they stinky girls. Depending on how your growing some fans can help to disburse the smell a little

meh i dont really care about hiding the smell it just that i haven't had plants stink so much before flower before...the only thing thats gonna smell them is the bears and deer that come around.. but it seems like the mothballs i put around my plants keep the deer away
