Hey folks, I ordered some square black pots for my new batch of babies, turned up today and... they stink, or should i say they bloody reek! You know, that horrible black binbag plasticky smell - is there any way to remove it? I tried washing them with very hot water and some washing up liquid but that didnt help much. Or should I just go and buy some different ones? Thx for any input, want to repot tomorrow.

Hell.. I love the smell of new plastic! They are new and just off gassing.... Plant your shit and your ladies will cover the oder..... The smell will leave over time...

True - my expensive pots had that sweet plastic smell too - no problem - disappeared fast. Was worried to - what about phtalates and stuff, but it's not in them.
