How the ladies looking stink?
Whats up terrorizer, they look real good but im going through the same ole shit as last grow plants good and healthy, just that my lower fans leaves are yellowing out a lil faster than i think they should. I dont know why this happens to me ive done flushes and ive added some nitrogen on occasion do you think it could be micro nutes? any one, let me know what you think>>other than that they are cooooooooooool..Peace

I use the thirtysix hour dark period becouse to me in my opinion i say it works well, ive triied flipping the lights straight to 12-12 thats fine if you chose but i like the way the plant takes off when you give them 36 hours dark i have almost instant pre flowers after the dark period and i also found out that when dealing with regular seeds i find out sex a lot faster then going 12-12 without 36 dark i wish i stil had my pic's to show but after three days of 12-12 really nothing to show but after 36 hours dark they are jump started look totally different..and thanks for dropping by and the comp..peace:mrgreen:

Maybe they are not receiving enough light.
On my last run using a 400 watt HPS some of the lower leaves were yellowing out on me. They were not really getting much light due to a dense canopy. Check how light penetration is on the lower part of your girls maybe that's why.

Or is it more of a deficiency thing?

Yeah im going to check the light and see how much is reaching the bottom part if im not mistaking i think it is ok with light they are not that dence as far as foilage high bud to foilage ratio..im probably thinking some kind of deficency as well that ive yet to catch on to in any of my first three grows?????hum got to correct this now because my next grow in september will be much larger...Peace and thanks as always bro...

far so good, having a lil premature yellowing going on trying to rectify that issue but other than that well on my way... :fire:

Stink, they need Nitrogen but maybe also some micronutrients as well. Your Ph could also be low. If this is a recurring issue for you then I believe it's time to re-think your choice of nutrients, assuming you're using them properly which I'm sure you are.

What nutrients/fertilizers/additives are you using right now? What are you using for water? How are you Ph'ing your water/nute solution and what are you Ph'ing it to? (Like 6.5 or whatever..)

Oh, and what day are they on in this picture?

hey D.C my water comes out the tap here at 7.0-7.2 the only nutes i use are fox farms bloom nutes but only the big bloom and the tiger bloom as you know i grow in MG Organic soil so i really dont use any grow nute until maybe one week before flipping the 12-12 switch than for the first 2 weeks of 12-12 i use alaska grow big grow nutes 6-1-1 other than that i only use mollasses and or organic none filtered or sulferred natural honeyas for the PH when feeding i ph after the solution has been mixed and i ph it to 6.0 my run off is usually at about 6.6 or so maybe a lil lower..i do have cutting edge micro nute solution here just tried some of that today to see what happens..Peace:wall:

Oh yeah on the pic from today they are at about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks of flowering total grow time is 9 1/2 to 10 weeks..

Cool that sounds pretty good then. What I would recommend is Ph your water to 6.5 instead. I think you're going too low on your input water, and Ph rises over time, so if anything you should go higher not lower. I'm confused by your EC, but I never check that shit anyway. I Ph all my input water to 6.6 everytime and have no problems. Either way, when water's not in the 'acceptable range' of 6.3-6.8 the plant cannot uptake all the nutes it needs as certain ones get 'locked-out' at different incorrect Ph ranges. This can cause issues just like the one you have.

You might want to try distilled for a bit. I know nobody ever wants to, but maybe there's something in your tap water that is locking out other chemicals as well...?

OK the Tiger Bloom is good and strong but has next to no N in it, just a little as it's for flowering. The Big Bloom is weak as hell all around and I use it as a 'buffer' basically, just to calm down erratic Ph in plain water mostly in-between nutrient feedings. But you can feed with it regularly too, it just is very weak that's all.

So, I would water with the fish fert AND the micronutrients at full strength for about 3-4 more waterings to correct the N deficiency (if that's what it is). I would prob throw in 1 tsp of Tiger Bloom everytime too.

And in this instance I would not remove ANY leaves as the plant is drawing the N it needs out of the fan leaves at this point rather than the soil.

hey yeah ur welcome. Thank you for the 36 hour dark, solitary confinement as I WILL be utilizing the technique in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. I like the idea of power-starting my girls into the world of flowering like that and will be posting pics in my journal, drop by in a few days I will have updates, ~ciao bud

No problem BC glad to assist you and ill be dropping by to check you outsoon ..Peace
Definitely nitrogen deficient stink, you say you added some to your mix? How much did you add?
Terrorizer whats up, i gave them a half strength of fish grow nutes @ 6-1-1 and i also hit them with the micro nutes as well that are 6-0-0 so for now i hope that does the trick. by the way going to see my Mom today so i hope the ladies will recover while im out of town...Peace

so every strain i have shows some yellowing on the bottom fan leaves, the leaves fall off too. this round i fed them stronger, and made sure they never got to the point of droopy leaves from thirst. this round i have not as much yellowing, and dying off of leaves. like everyone said, more nitrogen please. they look great and dense though. cant wait to see what 10 weeks do to them!

so we had yellowing on the bottom, hut healthy on the top? thats why my solution was heavier feeding in bloom. they are telling you "more". for me, this round, the only thing that has changed is less yellowing, and loss of leaves in the bottom fan leaves. i feel it is because i add another tsp-3tsp of bloom nutes to the whole feed. hope you find a solution soon bro!

Ok so here we are in the 5th week of flower, the WW is moving along the fastest so far some of the hairs are already turning redish, over all they all look very well, yellowing has slowed and bud sights are filling in nicely. Last night i watered them and fed them real good and tonight i'll be pollinating one branch of each papaya and White Widow with the pollen collected from my wonderful male Swiss Cheese i hope all goes well i'll be posting more pic's this weekend so stay tuned for that ..Peace:fire:
