Still super confused on using nutes.

Alright so my bud candy is coming today, and was planning on feeding. Keep going thread to thread, googling, research, and still just don't get it.

I know it's a lot of trial and error but I cant just burn my plant. Like if someone could just tell me exactly how much would be great.

I see a lot of full strength once a week 1/4th every water 2ml every watering 1 teaspoon for every gallon. Like if I use a gallon of water I will probably get a ton of run off. If I water with half a gallon do I use half a teaspoon? Is it really that concentrated, seems like a few drops would do something.

I am really confused on it and don't want to kill my plants I've been waiting so long for.

The more you jump around from thread to thread looking for answers, the more confused you will be.I can't help ya with the "Bud Candy",never used it,never needed it.There's a really good tomato plant food at Walmart,18-18-21 with micros too.Best thing of all is that,It Works Great !! Often times, people that are confused, have really just confused themselves by making things much harder than they really are !!Growing good marijuana is one of those things ! :leaf:

First lay out how old the plant are if there are any yet. Next what strain? Soil? And that matters greatly. People that blow that off usually grow crappy stuff if they really even grow at all.

Basic rule to not fail is feed, water, water, feed, water, water . . .. Start any nutes at 1/4 recommended strength first feeding, 1/2 strength the next and then full strength thereafter. A plant must be allowed to adjust to even receiving nutrients at the 1/4 strength. Think of a person who has never taken medicine for anything and is suddenly set upon with 4 medicines. Stomach problems, breathing problems? Maybe no problems? Not likely there. Start at weak dilution and work up. Pot does NOT need nutrients to SURVIVE. It USES nutrients to THRIVE. Know the difference. Nutrient OD is probably the second leading cause of avoidable plant deaths in homes right after overwatering.

There are many variables to how much nutrients you should use. The strain, age of plant, type of food, yadda, yadda, ya... For the first time feeding I would go at no more that half the recommended dosage. Typically the instructions will have an amount per gallon listed on the container. So, if you only need half gallon of water for the lady and the recommended dosage is 1 tsp per gal, you would mix half tsp in half gal of water. Just take it slow and over time feed a bit more. Just remember to do a week on, week off, for feeding.

Those are just mixing ratios. You mix up a gallon, but only use what you need to at the time. Store the leftover in a cool, dark place and use it next watering.

It is usually best when starting a new nutrient to use about 1/4 strength of the recommended dose. So if it says 1 teaspoon per gallon start at 1/4 teaspoon. Increase it to 1/2 next gallon. After that it's usually ok to go full strength.

A PPM meter would benefit you well.

Ended up just doing the 1/4 strength per liter and I'll wait a week from toeday and see how she performs.

Very hard to burn your plants with Bud Candy, It's full of carbs, aminos, and fulvic acid. Notice no N-P-K value? Just a .5% of Mg.

@DEEJAY Dude, just feed them 1/4 to 1/2 strength at a 2 to 1 Base/supp ratio . Look at my journal and you will see how heavily I fed them in coco and still got some kick-ass smoke. It would be hard to overfeed. Get to it and stop the little details, feed them!

Some people are just insecure it's okay dude. But feeding went fine so far. So since my BigBud is coming today and I jsut fed yesterday I should wait at a week or water a couple times inbetween right?
