Hey, I just jared some buds and want to know if its ok to put them in there a little sticky. the stems bent then snapped and the buds seem dry but after handling them they feel sticky, is that just the trichs sticking to me or should i dry them out some more before curing?

I live in south ontario for temp. gauge, and they have been hanging dry in a cold cellar for about a week now

you should be ok but your going to check the jars in about 4 hours and the moisture from inside will sweat out. you may need to put them in a paper bag for a few hours until ready to go back in the jars for another 4 hours. repeat as needed lengthening the time in jars and shortening the time in bags.

I like marijuana that has been carefully cured to avoid damage from time+mold but is still a fluffy at the end and not too dried :) Mmmmm.

lol i had to harvest early so it is a little fluffy. Also how often are you supposed to burp them once they are in the jars. I have some that just went in and some thats been in for a week.

after there is no need for the paper bags and they are in the jars. then burp a couple times a day for a week, then once a day for a week then you should be at a point where once a week for a couple weeks. after that your good for long periods. sometimes you need to dump out the bud and rearrange it and put it back in the jars.

early harvest is not good for many reasons, hope yours wasn't too early.

fluffy bud may not need as many times going from jars to bags due to it will dry quicker. you will not get a good cure if you overdry before curing. around 10% moisture is needed for a cure. lol i have no idea how much that is in my bud but i just go by looks, smell, and feel and i do whats needed.

cool thread but i have way to many jars to be spending 20 bucks a piece on. maybe when i do a small personal harvest i will.

I ordered a few meters and got a few two liter jars. mine is staying at 64% now. Been airing it out when it got to 70%. It took about a week but it is staying steady now. i will just keep an eye on it and do a smell test once a week. Did a smoke test last night and it taste great. cant wait to see what it will be like in a few months. This curing method does take all the guess work out. Thanks Simon
