Stems drooping

Hello all,

New to growing, so many many mistakes have been made in the beginning (and still probably currently).

I have a True OG (Indica) feminized plant that is in it's second week of flowering. I've had a few nutrient problems, such as too much nitrogen and a few times I missed the feeding schedule and gave it water instead. Currently the plant seems to want water about every 2 days. A few weeks back, I accidentally under watered it to the point where all the leaves were lying on-top of each other and I quickly watered it and it perked up pretty quickly. I am growing in Fox Farm's Ocean Soil in a 3-gallon air pot and I'm using the Fox Farm nutes. Yesterday I flushed it with 3 gallons of R/O water (6.5ph, 80ppm), and today I noticed the stems seem to be kind of weak overall. I follow the Fox Farm nute schedule (1/2 dose) only with the Grow Big, Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom (I do not use sledgehammer to flush) and I usually add in 1tsp of cal-mag for each watering. This plant is about 70 days old in all and in the beginning I had a lot of PH problems, from using distilled water and not PHing it properly. I also notice some of the leaves are curling inward (From what I can tell this is from the PH problem or maybe a nute lockout?). Tomorrow I'm planning on giving it week 10's 1/2 dose nutes (1.5tsp Big Bloom, 1tsp Tiger Bloom and 1tsp Cal-mag).

My grow tent setup:

Grow tent 48x48x80
Intake fan
Outtake fan w/carbon filter
600HPS
Temp range: 73 - 79 degrees

I live in a dry climate and I am using a few small humidifiers and the humidity gets to ~35% in my room and in my tent. A/C is running constantly at around 72 degrees (which I suspect is taking a lot of the humidity out of the room because of the A/C?).

Am I still under watering it? I'm scared of root rot and have probably under watered it more than I know.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

If you live in a dry climate and you are in FFOF and air pots unless you drench water 2 times a day every day you aren't going to get root rot. They look like they need good drink regularly. Just my opinion of course

HMMM, am I the only one to notice that the OP said the plant was flushed yesterday at 1:1 ratio water to soil? The plant is not under-watered. The roots got pretty darn wet. The leaves are taking up larger than normal amounts of water and they are getting heavy causing the limpness...you should see a very nice recovery within the next 24-36 hours (or even sooner depending on temp and rh).

Welcome to RIU, and the wonderful world of cultivating the world's most misunderstood and feared medicines!!!

The only 'advice' I can give you or anyone is to read and learn and then apply what you have read and learned to your garden and you cannot fail. Anyways, remember the search tool is your friend...Lots of folks here willing to help a new farmer get up and growing. But at the end of the day your grow will be only as good as the knowledge and work you put into it.

It is always great to ask questions but do not take anyone's advice or opinions and follow blindly. Do your own research, you will be much happier knowing you have done it for yourself and by yourself. The first buzz you get from your own budz...is by far the BEST high you will ever have!

OOPS, just noticed you mentioned your temp and rh...temp is great rh is a bit on the low side. But if you get on and maintain a watering regimen she should stay well watered for 3 days or thereabouts. Check for water weight at about 48 hours to see if she is getting dry.

1 last thing (for now LOL!) If you do not have some cal/mag...get some or look for alternate ways to add Ca and Mg. FF products are notorious for lacking some secondary nutrients.

:peace:

Just a quick note :

FFOF has PH buffers already in it ... There is NO REASON to use " special " water.

I can run tap straight and its fine. You cant really overwater a SMART POT because it drains really well. But flushing FFOF causes problems .... It strips a lot out of it.

Give it some time , dont start pouring more crap on a already stressed plant.

So what your saying is if I add all of my additives to my tap water and the solution has a ph of 9.4 that I could continue doing that without the ph buffers breaking down and changing my soil ph to be more alkaline? Or are you saying its ok to use plain tap water but to still ph it after you add nutes/ect...?
