stem broke in half

im about 3 weeks into flowering, and the middle wasnt getting light because of the tall plant, so i decided to tie down some of the branches and the main branch slit in half... not all the way down just a bit.. heres a few pics.. will it be alright????

i did, i tied it as close as i could together.. there is still a small gap there though.. i fed it so hopefully it will recover. the plant was too big and i had to do something and it comes to this.... fml..

Hi. Same thing happened to me last wk, 9 wk into flowerin tho. I guess the weight from buds pulled it down. Mine split bout 1 1/2 inchs down stem tho. I jus taped a splint to it and at top where i couldnt get it completly together was exposed, so i put a small piece of rockwool over it that i could wet to try and protect it. Seems to have worked so far, cant tell any difference.
Hope it works out for ya. I know what its like to lose plants, as everybody does i guess. GL

Tape is better than wire or string as it doesn't cut into the plant, also wax would have been better to block the gap with as it will keep moisture out.
You can also tie the two branches to one another with a strap to help take the load off split.
