So, before my current grow, I had never done it before, and was weary on building my own setup from scratch. Eventually I came across SH as many have, and decided on going with it because of the ease. Other than my actual grow, which is doing really well, I have been pretty disappointed with SH. First off, for anyone who orders it, regardless of how bad you are at DIY projects, you will kick yourself in the ass when you see how simple it is to build this thing. And SH charges an arm and leg for everything. Not including the lightbulbs, the kit can be purchased at walmart and petco for about a 1/3 of the price that SH sells it for.

Second, the customer service has been crap. The kit took weeks to get here, and when it finally did, it didn't include the PH test strips. I called them and told they forgot to send it in the bundle. They said it would be in my mailbox soon. Well, its been over a month, and I never got my PH strips from SH. I have gone out and gotten an electronic one, which is loads better anyways.

Third, you really need to add at least 1 more airstone to the setup. They even recommend it on their site. Why not just add one to the kit?

Fourth, I bought their really nice CFL hood (holds 3 125w) which they claim is a finely built american made product. Well, its sorta a piece of crap and all the bulbs are crooked. The thing looks like it costs 50 bucks to make, they charge 199 I think.

Fifth, the thing I have recently discovered that has put the nail in the coffin and made me never do business with SH again is the Dual Spectrum OzoneLite Odor Reducing Bulbs that they sell on the site. What's wrong with this product you may ask? Nothing!! Except for the fact that SH charges 60 dollars for this bulb, and it is only a 35$ bulb as seen on the site of the company's website. Products - 20 - Air Purifying O-ZONELite (23 watts, equivalent to 100W incandescent bulb)

Just gives you an idea how much they rip you off on their other products.


So, in conclusion. I am using a now highly modified SH bubbleponics kit. I am not entirely disappointed with the product, but realize I got ripped off. I blame only myself for being lazy, none-the-less, SH is a rip off company.

Thanks for the headsup. I remember watching the little promo video on their site and thinking "Wow that looks real sleek." Even though stealth isn't a huge priority to me as I have an entire room dedicated to my grow, I thought it'd be nice to have a completely self-contained growing environment like the ones they make. It's good though that you're bringing your negative experiences to light because believed they were price gouging right from the beginning.

Yeh, ya know...I realize why they charge so much for the system....because they are doing the manual labor and you are paying for the convenience. There is no excuse though for ripping people off over 30 dollars for a lightbulb. There is also no excuses not sending people what is supposed to come in the bundled package.

Where I agree with your opinion about how easy these things are to build, I thought that their customer service was great! My kit was missing the timer and the CFL had a cracked tube and the drain valve leaked. I shot them an email and they shipped me everything I needed 2nd day air (a timer, new bulb and new valve). People do need to know that these kits can built in an afternoon for much less, wish I would have too!

i work for stealth and its a great company. the reason your order wasnt right is cause tina is a dumb bitch and cant pack a box right to save her life and thats y she got fired. ill talk to boss about the ozone lights. as for the reflector andrew must have been to high,call steath and ask to have it replaced. sorry about the inconvienence with our company, but we will try to make it right
