Day 46 Flower Day 17
Guys, I'm having a girl!
She's showing everywhere and a lot of tops are coming. I have a feeling she's gonna be a bushy one. I have no idea as to why she took so long to show, but she is a lady, go figure.
Her leaves are pretty skinny, so maybe a sativa phenotype? The bud, that I got the seeds from was some schwag, that more than likely came from Mexico. I've read that Mexican growers brought over some indica strains to bulk up buds, which would mean more profit. Apparently, that's why we (US) never gets the Sativa Landraces from Mexico that our parents used to smoke in the 70's and maybe 80's. It's a real shame, but i'm glad to see people going back to the roots and collecting beloved favorites and landraces. I believe in progress, but age old wisdom is nothing to throw away. If it stood the test of time, it's probably worth it. Anyways. I feel like she's growing really slow, and it's bothering me. I'm just going to have some patience for right now. It'll grow soon enough and you never know with genetics. I'd love to add more lights, but i'm past my budget and at this time i feel like it'd be out of impatience and impulse rather than judgement. But really, I have no idea where else i'd put them. maybe some LED's on the sides, but even then they need to be far away from the plant so they get the full spectrum (both red and blue).

Day 48 Flower Day 19
Wassup Y'all,
Fed the Lady tonight w/ Garrett Juice, 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion, Superthrive, and Cal/Mag. The lower leaves were looking splotchy and the stems are still purple. However the purple-ness is receding and hopefully that's not a sign of a deficiency. This feeding should do the trick and after the next watering i'm going to top dress it with Azomite again. I would like to give it one last dose of grow nutes. It started to show the female parts about 5 days ago and from what I've read you want to still give it grow nutes, 2 weeks into the flowering time phase. Also the nodes are still really short and have atleast another 6 inches to stretch. Should I give it 2 more doses of grow nutes? I'm also thinking about changing over the lights to 2700k bulbs next friday. Again the branches are still pretty short I'd love to supplement the growth while not over growing my case but getting it to the right height so that I can reap as much fruit

Pulled it down tonight and installed a screen. This is the first time doing a Scrog set-up, but i'm confident that I'll do fine. There's like 10 tops and still pushing, I'm pretty stoked just thinking about the end result. Also does anybody have experience with small LED light bulbs? I'd like to add some more light to the set up. I've read you need a distance of at least 1.6 ft. Would one foot in distance be that big of a deal? If that's the case i"d like to install two more.

Should the flower day be when the flowers show up? Because it started to flower or show sex like 6 days ago. I feel like 3 weeks is a lot for how small it still is. Since it starting showing sex like 6 days ago, maybe it was still in it's growth period up until the day it showed sex. Does that make since? Anyways, She's really coming along and spreading out pretty well and growing taller, too. It has been 2 days since I last saw her but it seems like she's grown an inch. I did do some defoliating today. I cut maybe 4 fan leaves and some undergrowth. We'll see how cutting the fan leaves fare, and if it works out (energy going to buds as well as getting light) I'll do some more. I didn't want to just do it in one fell swoop but ease in to it so it wouldn't hermy. It's still early in the flowering stage, ya know. Nonetheless I have decided i'm going to give it one more dose of grow nutes, but definitely some flowering nutes as well. Also, next Friday i'll be switching from 6000k cfl's to 2700k cfl's. It is a little long for being in the 3rd week going on 4th but like I said about, I really believe it started flowering 6 days ago and not 21. This time around I continued with the defoliation, but no more tucking. I believe they're in their respectable places. My gut says not to tuck so i'm going to stick with that. Growth has been slow; it's grown about 2 inches within the last 5 days. This friday I'm going to switch the lights from 6,000k to 2700k for the rest of the cycle. Also i'm going to be giving it's last dose of grow nutes a long with some blooming nutes. I still want to give them some Azomite, maybe i'll give it along with the nutes this friday. Other than all that, again I am tempted to buy some LED lights. This plant is really starting to look very Sativa-ish, as well with it taking it's time to grow. I really want to supplement this grow and the case with as much light as possible. Sativa's also require more sunlight... alright maybe i'm talking myself into it. Oh well.
I'm really looking foward to this phenotype. I have like 6 or 7 more seeds from the sack.The rest of the grow and end result will be interesting nonetheless, but I'm hoping and believing that it'll turn out some good product.

Day 60, Flower 16
Wassup Y'all
The growth is slow but coming along. It's gotten a lot more bushier on top, so I did a little more defoliation on the bottom to help out top growth. I think I'll still continue defoliation but on a smaller scale. I knocked out a bunch of it last night. I ordered 2 30watt LED lights, to go on both top corners of the case and shine diagonally on the plant. They both include a few UV diodes on each, so happy about the extra UV rays that will encourage extra resin production. I also switched the lights from 6000k to 2700k and gave her the last of the grow nutes. I've read to continue the grow spectrum lights and grow nutes two weeks into flower to help with the stretch. I haven't seen anything stetch at all, but due to its size, lights, and other factors I'm not surprised. Although this is only my second grow, anything could really happen, right? I hope I am wrong, I really want to see her blow up and fill up the case. So I'm going to continue with that vision but without burning my plants with nutes. With that being said, I gave her a full dose of grow nutes, Garrett Juice, and Cal-Mag, quarter dose of bloom nutes, and a few drops of Superthrive. It shouldn't burn it, at least I hope it doesn't. These are all organic nutes except for Superthrive. Anyways temps have been a little high as well as the humidity has been dangerously low like 16-20%. I blame it on the recent weather change, but should go back to normal today.
Guys, I really appreciate the support of y'all liking my set up and plants. I know it's not the biggest or glamorous grow, but I put a lot of time, thought, scrutiny, and ingenuity into this case/grow. Thank y'all for reciprocating. Good vibes and happy growing to y'all all!

Day 60 Continued...
Although those pictures are from last night, these are from today. Took off a few more fan leaves as well as made some room for the main cola that had lower buds blocked by the screen. So I cute out four corners of a square in the screen to expose the lower buds. the temps also when down, as well as the humidity went up. Little has changed but still has a long time to grow.

Day 62 Flower 18
Wassup Y'all,
Well the temperatures spiked at 93 so as you'll see below the leaves are pointing up and canoeing, just a little though. The pot is sitting on top of a book that's on top of a roll of duct tape, to not lose intensity of the light. So I took the duct tape away to let the temps cool down a little. I'm going by tomorrow to water it and as well move up one of the fans so it's blowing on to the lights and sucking in clean cool outside air. Hopefully that will take care of it, if not i'll install one of the large 160mm fans that came with the case, directly about the lights to blow the hot air out. I might just end up doing that. I'm glad I bought the LED lights, so when i take out the book underneath the pot, the plant and lower parts of the plant will be getting some great LED light. I've noticed a lot of growth in the past 2 days and hopefully you'll see it too. Enjoy!

Worked on the heat problem by putting one of the intake fans higher, to blow air pulled in from the outside onto the lights. Before the fan was just blowing on to the container, now it's above the fan that was above it. Make sense? Anyways the plant is showing a little more heat stress today, so hopefully by moving it lower as well as the fan higher that, that will take care of it. Also, I didn't install the large fan about the lights, but it's pretty much inevitable. This plant is starting it's stretch 2 and 1/2 weeks into flower, and I have about another 3 inches to lower as well. However once they get tall (hoping) I'll be running into the heat problems again, so i'm just going to install that fan next time i'm over there. I did some more defoliation, mostly just removing budsites below the canapy as well as a few fan leaves. Now that I think of it, I hope it's not stressed too much out. She get's watered tomorrow so I'll put a few drops of Superthrive in there to help with any shock.
