people that own them are saying to build it yourself. if owners of the product can't say whether it is worth it or not - i'm not sure who is qualified.
i know people that also own one that say they are great. when u see a pic of users with Sick Plants u tell me...then i tell them to restart elementary school cuz u gotta be a fuckn idiot to fuck that up.

I am about to buy the SH dual spectrum bubbleponic system and I am extremely curious if anyone has purchased this exact system and if it worked good and would you recommend it or not? Building one myself aint happening so I am just asking does the system itself work? Hopefully you guys can help I am shooting from the hip here on my own and ANY feedback would be deeply appreciated. THANKS GUYS!

First of all, if you have grown before it would not make sense to pay all of that extra money for something that you can make for half price. Now given most of us potheads are pretttty damn lazy and don't want to go through all of the effort of making a hydroponic system, or you are a newb to growing (like myself) I would say ordering the system is a smart choice. It's pretty much guaranteed to work and if not you just send the garbage back.

yeah, i'm going to add another post right away...big deal, i've got more to say that i forgot to add in the last post. I actually purchased the stealth hydro bubbleponics with both of the dual spectrum II lights. For all people who are going to grow hydro for their first time, this is a smart buy. You won't mess anything up and you get all of the nutrients, pumps, and all of the other conspicuous items needed to grow all in one package. I'm going to start a grow journal soon. I just germinated and have some little seedlings now of papaya from nirvana. all i need to do now is find my camera. :blsmoke:

I read a post before (probably yours bighead...nbd i probably cant find it neways) that said the stealth hydro couldn't support all 6 plants unless you're really doing sea of green style with some short plants. even then they said the roots intertwined and it was a lot more dirtier/murky than it should be. i'm going to try only 4 plants, one on each corner. hopefully it will be easy to pick one to get rid of when the time comes. I'm still going to try it

I looked at those system's, was actually going to buy one. I used the wrong cc when I ordered and it was Declined lol... So next day went to Lowe's and walmart and the local hydro store. 4 day's later I had a fully working 6 planter system with a 21 gallon tub. Got about 8 gallon's of water in there now. All 6 are 6 inch netted pots, with Hydro rocks. got a nice size water pump and air pump - with 2 4 inch air stones. I started with 6 seed's most all germinated. I have 4. 3 that are about 3-4 inch's tall and yesterday out of no where this stout little baby popped up and is looking good (all bag seed). I am using Foxfarm's organic nut. PH been running around 6.2-6.5. I have 3 CLF's 2 100watt daytimes and a 100watt soft white. I have been running the water pump from about 7am-Midnight. The airpump and light's 24/7. I have a small fan above as well. It's a week today when I started and already have 3, 3-4inch with nice leaves and a fresh sets of nutes growing. I have never really built something like this before. I have to say it was allot of fun doing it too. Did research on here with all the DIY and other companies like stealthhydo. I am just going to see how it goes with bagseed. Get use to the system and all that, then I will look into quality seed.

If any one has any further suggestion's let me know.
Thanks!

I bought a system like this but much fewer things and cheaper. I dont have a hydro store locally, so I was my thought process was that a good pump, the tubing, the nets, the medium, the rockwool, air stone and the tubs are probably worth 40 bucks + shipping. I think some of specialty things can get pricey when bought over the net piece by piece. I am new to this, so whatever, I know less than most of this website.

I cant believe people are still arguing about these overpriced tubs from Stealth Hydro.. We have all tried to warn u guys not to buy these so... Anyone who said that they built their own tub and failed then succeeded w/ Stealth Hydro has no busineess here. If you don't know what it takes to make a plant grow u need to do more research, not buy a shit system that claims to make up for your lack of knowledge. The only people who have said this system is anygood have never seen a live grow in anything but the Stealth Hydro. If I only saw shit grow in one type of thing I would only think that was the only way too, but I have seen better yields out of better systems.

I use the stealth hydro bubbleponics system and i think its great. you could build one yourself if you wanted to but this is nice cause it has EVERYTHING in one package and it all works just fine.

well i'm new to this and i am one of those ppl that refuse to pay for anything i can build my self. and i think my system is working good ( but only had it done for less than a week.)

i spent

10 gal tote $4.00
dual air pump $ 10.00
25' tubing $ 2.95
2 6"in airstones $3.00

i got a 2ft florescent shop lights $ 8.00
and plant aquarium florescent light bulbs $10.00
( Light are just temporary. working on less that than a budget right now.)

over all i'm happy with the progress that my plants are making. but i have a few questions.

when should i add nuts to the res?
and whats the least i should spend on lights for a 35"wide x 24'" grow space x 12"in deep space?

sorry bout the long thread. I started saying that it was cheap to build, but smoking and typing sent me into another direction

i use stealth granted you could build it, but if you got the money who cares, its for newbs and thats fine, if after your first grow you still use your stealth or havent upgraded then its dumb because you need more room and better air stones etc. but first grow its fine my babies are huge from them bushy as crazy and are budding now using CFL, which im sure will start another argument. But take it easy on people who are new they dont know any better, and/or to lazy to build there own thats how we do it in america...

could anyone instruct me or post pics of how to construct the hoses that run from the water pump? I understand the concept and i have already made a DIY DWC, i just wanted to add the hoses to stimulate root growth from seed. What size hose do you need? Does it depend on the size of the water pump? Do you need any connectors or fittings?

I got the same SH setup because I didn't anything about hydro. The first thing I thought was "damn that little a$$ box is going to do what"? But I guess I'll wait and see. I put three into soil as well just to compare and see the difference.

i would recommend building over buying having wasted my money on some systems.

Here is DIY hydro link:
GROWFAQ

Check out FilthyFletch's - he builds them and sells them too! that would be the way to go if i were in your shoes so check it out.
I agree. The SH tubs too small to grow six in them. Maybe four at max. Spend less and build your own shit. I put three plants in soil just to better my odds if the SH tub didn't work out. Now the soil grow is all females and only one female in the SH tub. Save your money and buy better nutes. Their nutes suck too, you gotta shake the hell out of them to get them to break down and strain. You're better off with liquid nutes. Good luck bro!
