Stealth Hydro Automatic PH Controller

does it titrate the solution in resivoir or the solulution in the meter/controller? because it seems like it would be more wise if it was adjusting the solution it was pumping out of the res inside the meter and then pumping it back into the res as a smaller quantity would be easier to monitor, basically from what i understand the controller has a intake for both ph up and down and an intake and return for the solution in your res that your growing in, is this correct? if it is that's awesome

Not exactly 100% sure what you are asking but basically you just have a seperate tank that you fill with distilled water and then you add either ph up or down (depending on your needs) the more you put in the less the pump has to work to change the ph. The solution does not go through the meter. It just mesures the ph level in the planter and in my case when it gets too high the ph controller turns on the pump and the pump slowly pumps the low ph water into the planter till it gets back to 9.5. I'm sure their are systems that everything runs through the meter but I'm also sure it is probably out of the price range for an average small grower. I hope that answers your question.

Yep so far it works great. So far the only thing I would change is get a larger tank so I could have more solution.

Alright I have had the ph controller for a while and it is still amazing but I figured I would mention some pros and cons. Ill start with the pros. It is afordable (maybe not for everyone but not that bad for a digital ph reader), it does work very well at keeping the ph level balanced without big jumps, it can be used on almost any size grow from average joe with his 6 planter to the farmer with 100+ plants. Now for the cons. It is very sensitive. If you barely move any part of it the reading will change (I don't suggest sitting it near anything that vibrates such as an air pump). Also you have to make sure that the hose from the ph resivour stays out of the water or it will drain it all into the planter. Its not that hard to do and I'm sure as soon as you get a few good size plants going and drinking the water I don't think it will be a problem. Other than all that it still seams like a great deal

alright ive started a grow. so far their is 2 small plants and one possible plant that im seeing if i can save. i have surrounded the system with reflective insulation about 1' tall so it will hopefully help focus the lights more till i can go get some 65 watters. also im trying to choose which plants i should add to so i have a pic of my sprouts.

Good start, the reflectix insulation is a nice touch! I will say though, in a couple weeks the insulation on the lid won't be reflecting much light, it'll be covered by big beautiful plants! I can't even find the lids I punt over the net pots any more.

i would love to have that problem. the plants being too big lol. i know what you mean but i mainly put it on there for reflecting light off the resivour to keep the temp down. its just a bonus that it is reflective. also it helps hold the net pots in better.

Has anyone ever used those gel auto watering things? It looks like a tube of clear jello and I was wondering if they work and if so how well?

Before you know it they will be too big! Good luck, just follow the tutorial religiously, it'll work better then you thought possible.

I also wanted to add a hint about anyone that might buy the auto ph controller. I highly suggest that you use somewhere between 5 to 5 and a half gallons of ro water instead of the recomended 6 just incase the your plants don't drink enough water to balance out. At least this way their is much less possibility of it overflowing. Also when in doubt about having too strong of a ph solution in the controller resivour just add more. Its almost impossible to have too much and actually the more the better (within reason) so the pump doesn't work so hard

Well the one is the only real transplant. The other 2 are much younger. I started them last time and something went wrong so I had to flush the tank so I'm trying to see if I can save them. I kinda doubt I will though

Alright day 3. I have added 15ml (3tsp) of H202 to my bubble system as sugested. Also as far as nutes I have flora gro, micro, and bloom and it is sugested to use 1/4 nutes but I wasn't sure how much that is due to the different mesurements on the back (seedlings and cuttings, general purpose, veg grow, transition to bloom, blooming and ripening) which one should I use 1/4 of or should I use what's recomended for seedlings?

Day 4. I added 2 more plants yesterday and they are all starting to wilt a little but I'm thinking it might be shock. I have 1/4 nutes and the ph is 5.92

Also I think this little one might have nute burn but I'm not sure
