Starting to work on my first grow box.

I tore out the guts very carefully.

I will update as I go along. Does anyone have any tips/ideas? Like I said, this is my first grow. My budget is around 100-150 bucks.

Probably going to use About 6 CFL's, i'm going to line it with Panda Liner. As for fans and what not...i'm not exactly sure yet.

The box looks good but i think you need to lst or scrog the plants to keep them low beacuse its not very big.Its gonna be nice setup and if you want to put more than 1 plant i suggest you to put more lightning.Start cultivating!

An idea might be to use T5 tube lights and do a mini vertical grow with the light between two plants or along a wall. but in general you will need to LST them. Basically you will just tie the top over to the side so its not as tall, this also opens many budsites.

As for fans, i would go with 3 total so you know it is done right. 2 exhaust fans and one intake fan, though depending on the seal you get you can just run the two exhaust and just take air in through an opening. for fans just get a few cheap computer fans and pick up a few universal chargers from a thrift shop that match the voltage and amperage as best you can.

A lot pot will be a great help here. i would suggest a basic rectangular shoebox type from walmart, its just for cloths but works for us. Make sure you tape or paint the sides, your pot cant be clear. the lower profile will give you decent amount of soil while saving you headroom.

make sure you get a little thermometer and test run the box for a few days to ensure the temps are ok.

I glued the two doors together, and put them on hinges so the whole door opens up for easy access to the plants, then sealed the door with Vinyl Clad Seals.

This is a picture of the cabinet shut and locked.

It's getting done slowly but surely.
Does anyone know where i can buy Panda Liner Locally instead of online?

I'm Looking at your setup and im thinking of doing the same thing. I wanted mine to open up from the side, but i cant find a dresser with a WOODEN back... but i would suggest, putting the door hinges INSIDE the dresser, cause with them on the outside....it doesnt look "normal" ( why are there door hinges on the side of your dresser)
Cant Help with panda film, but what i did/ and am going to do for my next grow box is
View attachment 1822359The reflector visor for your car, walmart has them for 3.50 and they are pretty square and very easy to work with so i would suggest that, you can just glue them in. And a lot cheaper than panda film.

As for lights, i would suggest stationary lights, and simply raise/ lower your plants, i would say 4 45watt lights will suffice based on room... people always reference equations ect... but since you will be raising your plants to stay at least 2-3 inches from the lights thats enough promise. if the back of the dresser is wood, i'd mount them there if not, i'd mount them from the ceiling
