Yes he can supply hinges and drill holes, 32 hingines in total and 12 door lol. Will look nice in the room though and not out of place for such a large thing. He is gonna give me a final price in the morning.

Ive ordered the ballast and im gonna order the mylar too.

Spent a bit more than i wanted on the cab so im gonna leave the lights until the cab is all done. Apart from fan and filter and ducting is there anything else i need to buy for the pre cut holes we are going to do so we can measure it all up.
Glad he can sort out the hinges + holes :) - Thats one, well two.. less thing to worry about :) Glad to hear you've started to order stuff... You may need to buy a couple of odor-soks for pulling clean fresh air in and .... 4X 6" 90 degree elbows - These will be needed for connecting a lot of the equipment together.

Also you'll need ducting but we'll sort out the size of all the components inside 1st

I surgest we drill/cut all necessary holes 1st, then apply the Mylar.... Then work on 1 side at a time and perfect them individualy.. This should be pretty straight forward..

*Just remember to post as many pics as possible and I'll be able to 'see' whats what etc and it'll make for a great thread too :) I'll look into self thermostated in-line fans at some point tommoz and post my findings - STELTHY :leaf:

These fans are great too, a little different from mine but works in the same sort of way,.....(mine has a temp probe in the growroom) But this ones built in so as it says after initial tweaking it'll be perfect!

Is 700mm the size of the actual fan?..not the bore? cos thats 27" n thats pretty big.. Is that maybe the Width or the Height of the Ruck fan? aim to get an 8" bore, we can use reducer's to fit 6" ducting to it and it'll run slower and also more quietly thanks to its 3 blades and 'no hum' at low speeds.

I noticed that website also sells the rhino Carbon Filter's.. They are great :) I have one (Rhino) that has a 6" bore and stands about 20" - 25" tall

I would say to you get a simerlar sized one if not the same..But!! - Get an 8" bore instead (again reducer's will be need here) but will help quieten the air thats exhaled!

We'll also need 6" ducting...some will be uninsulated and some insulated.. The inside of the cab is mostly uninsulated and the outside is insulated to counter balance noise of air movement, More so than any thing to do with temps (since only short ducting runs are needed),

I think we should get the cab home, cover the insides with Mylar, arrange the equiptment then and only then measure out what type and length of ducting is needed..

NB/ Its also a good idea to run a small de-humidifier in the actual room (not in the grow-cab) but the room the cabs in, This will help take a % of humid air out the room and helps stop mould from beging to form on the walls etc..

Also a small AC unit placed in the room would be of great help whilst running your 600 Watter, if you've not had any experience with a 600 they get MEGA hot!

So if the AC unit cools the ambient room (actual room) temp before the cab draws in its air, the air in the cab will cool the lamp alot better also helping to keep your fan speeds low (and quiet).

Have you ordered any of the stuff yet?

I'll post pics of the spray glue you will need to fix the Mylar to the inside of the cab with :) - STELTHY :leaf:

Could i estract the hot air up the loft to save getting an ac unit? Ive got a humidifier already, im just thinking if i could extract hot air through the attic would save me getting an AC.

Not sure which fan your telling me to get mate. Shall i ask for that 700mm thermo fan with an 8" bore and a rhino fan to suit with an 8" bore?

Dark and dusty, i cant even get up there lol i am 20 stone though lmao. I dont think its very well insulated either.

£33 delivered for the Mylar.

Cab just paid for, £850 all in with hinges. 90 seperate parts to it lol 400kg total weight, all pre doweled and all holes drilled for hinges. Decided to get my sister to help me out as she is better at DIY than me plus she can fly up the loft no problem.

Yes you could do that and that would worker probably better defo at this time of year :) I just wasn't sure if your Mrs was ok with you making a hole in the ceiling??

There is a trick you can do so as and when you finish growing or move etc you can put the ceiling back to normal...Its pretty easy! All you have to do is drill a pilot hole,Cut out a circle for the sized ducting you have ie 6" so make a 6.2" hole - Cut it out with a hacksaw blade slowly THEN KEEP THE CIRCLE OF PLASTERBOARD!!! - and stick it to a 7" squared piece of wood......THEN when you need to block up the hole and make the room look 100% untouched again simply lower the circle into the hole from above..Put some filler arond the edge, sand it flat (lightly) and paint it in/ re-paint the ceiling and 'job done' :) Hope that helps man!! :)

So yeah if thats cool do that and that will save you have to get an AC unit and also save you money on the electric bill to :) Good thinking!! - STELTHY :leaf:

Ha ha I'am 20 stone to lol....I know what you mean!! lifting my weight hurts my arms I am fairly tall too so its hard to get my legs through the entrance hatch too...Fuckin' lofts lol :) its good that the attics not insulated... Means you can pull more fresh air in :)

Glad to hear the cabs paid for..It was expensive but as soon as you do your 1st or 2nd harvest, it will have paid for its self almost twice over :) Wow 90 parts :)! Good call getting your sister to help its always better to keep things like this in the familly rather than asking a mate...Mates can get jealous n fuck you over but with familly its blood and bloods thicker than water ya know :) - STELTHY :leaf:

There will be a slight gap between the doors but he said

"The only possible gap will be where the doors meet. What we'll do there is make what we call an overlapping profile to try to make that area as air-tight as we can".

This company are great, there gonna try there best to get it to me by Monday:)

What are peoples opinions on these, im useless and DIY and uber stealth is the only was the wife will let me grow.

Does anyone know if its a good product?
If your just learning, that price is outrageous and I'd highly suggest getting down the hobby before investing that much into such a limiting enclosure. If your seasoned then I trust you can make your own judgement as to what would work best for your situation.... I'd take a tent in the garage any day, but if this were my only option, then I guess I'd be saving my pennies in a jar! :)

The one he said i need is this Ruck RKW 200-L 1100m3.

http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Grow-room-Products-20/-In-Line-Fans-Fan-Filter-Deals-108/RUCK-Temperature-Controlled-Fans-1250.asp

Is that to big for my unit? If it isnt ill get it ordered along with the rhino filter.

This one has an 8" bore but im not sure if it will fit in my cab.
I just ran a check n that one is an 8" one so yeah go ahead and order it :) theres not that much difference in size between a 6" n an 8" as far as the unit is concerned - STELTHY :leaf:

Obviously 'TheRuiner' hasn't read the rest of the post lol :) Yeah its alot but it will pay for its self and why settle for a tent where the smell freely excapes even when you do set it up correctly, Everyone starts somewhere but once you've found your feet you dont want to go out and have to buy an all new setup when you could have started the way you meant to go on :) - STELTHY :leaf:

I just want a nice looking stealth heavy duty unit that wont look out of place. My misses still aint happy about it but im hoping when she sees it she will like it.

Shall i just get the fan and filter for now or do i need anything else,.just want the essentials for pre drilling the holes and building the cabinet, once its up i think she wont be so bad as long as it isnt noisy or smelly.

Did you say i needed 90 degree elbow?
