Hi guys!

Hope everyone’s doing well! Doing my first ever grow indoors using a CFL. I wanted to post some pictures and get some feedback in terms of how they look so far and advice for the future. As you can tell I’m not growing in a closet, rather a make shift Skipthedishes bag with a CFL over it. The bigger one is a photo period bag seed and it’s on day 16 thriving well. The other is a femininized autoflower that is 5-6 days old. Based on my minimal knowledge I feel like they’re happy and healthy. Please feel free to drop thoughts?!?

Future advice:

1) Smell - obviously if these keep going and no major issues come up the girl will get big and stinky. I’m in a 700 sq ft unit with my wife, she doesn’t mind having the girls but I know when it starts stinking it’s going to be an issue. Is a standard air purifier that’s HEPA and active carbon filter sufficient for one plant

OR

2) I move my plants out to the balcony, I have a north facing exposure and at the best I will get 6-7 hours of direct sunlight in May, June and July. I guess what I m asking is how bad the stink is and can it be contained or should I get a closet instead?!

Any advice is welcome and feedback too! 1CC82A17-61B0-4C1E-BA8A-B269F19A337E.jpeg

You’re gonna need something to kill the smell, especially in an apartment. I grew one plant in a 2x2 box. By mid flower you could smell it around the corner and walking up to the house. First thing I bought for this second grow was a carbon filter and inline fan

Thanks for the reply bud. I hear that's the popular solution; does the carbon filter and inline fan still work if it's not in a "closet". The wedding cake looks amazing BTW; if the Afghan auto turns out half as good, i'd be happy.

Ya know, I’m not sure. If it’s semi contained it should at least help. Could you post a pic of your set up? You might be able to throw a small one in there.. not sure what a skipthedishes bag is!
And thanks man, I was stoked on that wedding cake :) you got it man! I think it’s a lot easier than all the info out there makes it seem. Hands on is the best way to learn this hobby! The FFOF helped too..
