State of Washington

Im moving to Washington, originally from Southern California and was wondering if anyone knows what pests are most common in that area. Also wondering what strains do well for outdoor. Thanks

It depends on whether you will be Western or Eastern Wa, they're two entirely different climates. I grow Western WA and I've only ever had problems with aphids. Flowering starts in late August, so I prefer plants with no more than 10 weeks flowering time, so you're going to be looking at sat/indica mixes, straight indica's, or autoflowerers. Any outdoor strain grows well in Western WA; we generally have moderate heat summers. My biggest concern has always been mold in October if it starts raining heavy early in the season.

Ill be in Western Washington and prefer indica's over sativas so thats good news. How do you deal with mold in October? Also are there a lot of deer and other animals that snoop around gardens? Thanks for the info
