Starting with Florescent lamps...ultimately to be under 1000 watt LED

Many people who will tell you that you need better lighting are people like me who made the same mistakes and are just trying to save you from dealing with the same issues. I’ve gotten by with decent results for 2 years but am currently building more suitable lights for my tent so I can produce a larger yield with higher quality. The first light I bought was so bad that I can’t believe I ever thought it was suitable for anything but seedlings.

I get that...i have what I have and thats all I'll have for a while! i just make the best of it...consider it a challenge. Eventually i'll upgrade. As I said earlier, im a grow noob...never gotten past mid-seedling stage...first time I over watered, second attempt I was burnin them up in germination...learned that on this forum actually! Im growing at a very small scale with equipment that could probably be used for a much larger one...no matter what the yeild may be. I just want to learn and understand the fundamentals of growing from seed to harvest...then slowly tweak my system from there.
You cant build a hotrod if you dont understand how to make the engine stay running!! The lights I have can keep many plants alive with a fair yeild and mids quality potency, lol...but before I improve my grow I have to learn how to grow first...
 
Jesus, we're not all commercial growers on here, yes every single person has a different growing pattern and luxerys per money situation, knowledge on growing, ect. Dude wasnt asking for everybodys wrath on WHAT they use to grow.. he just wants to know what period in the seeding stage should the plant be transferred to a stronger light.

All people are trying to say is that the LED isn't much better than the 28W they're currently using.

Not recommending better lighting would be irresponsible. It doesn't matter current budgetary constraints... it simply gives OP something to consider going forward, and to curb any over-expectations.

Your an idiot that's the problem you didn't really even ask a question... But here's an answer if you have 1000w of led wait till the plant fills a 5x5 1000w of led will easily fill a 5x5 space maybe more

Without getting into qualitative analysis ...
Most inexpensive LEDs are mfd in China. Some are made in the same plants where branded lights are made for "US" manufacturers and some are made using inferior chips the chip manufacturers couldn't sell to first line llight mfrs.
The power ratings you see in the promotional materials for these lights advertise wattage based on the aggregate maximum wattage rating of all the chips in the product ... NOT the actual wattage the fixture will draw from the wall ... which is dependent on the power supply rating, not the chip rating.
So while in theory, your light could accept 1000W of power, it is more than likely that the actual draw at the wall if only between 100 and 200w if that.

People are trying to help OP be more successful with their grow and what a plant needs to grow well has no bearing on commercial or hobby grows. The plants don't give two shits about if you are growing for personal use or for commercial sales. Would you rather us just pretend that the lights would be suitable or would you rather us actually give some helpful advice? People who act like you are of no help.

Just a few questions, I just started last week, I germ and sprouted about 20 pink kush seeds in my new indoor setup, I plan on planting them all out side , in the mean time I have ordered 5 " Bruce Banner AUTO " seeds !!! this is what i have so far , I have a 4 x 4 x 8 grow room, with vent, fan and a Noah 1000 watt led amazon light, also I plan on using nutrients GH flora trio with the grow . My question is Will this light set up be enough to grow 4 auto flower bruce banner, and given the above , what type of yields can I expect ? second question Should I add my 4 100W CFL bulbs in the tent ? or add an additional specific light set-up ? Last question , how close at the seedling stage can I keep the Amazon 1000w light to the plants ? I understand that the amazon lights are not what they claim to be , but are they good enough to get a 50% yield , Bruce banner seeds claim in "perfect" indoor conditions you can get 450 gram per 4x4 or 1m squared , based on that info if my Amazon light light was at half par , and all other conditions were near perfect , it should still produce enough for one person, grow to grow ? What do you guys think ? upgrade or add another light ? Its 4 auto flower plants in 4x4x8 ? please help

You should probably start your own thread if you want the most exposure.

That said, there's no NOAH LED fixture that I can find on Amazon ... there a Noah-s and an arknoah ... both claiming 1000w. You probably have 150-180W of draw at the wall ... not the 1000w that they advertise. The short answer is no, that light isn't adequate for a 4x4 to produce acceptable quality and yield. Depending on where you live and your budget there are lots of choices, but i?we would need more information to make useful suggestions.
 
im thinking of adding the new 2020 spider farm 1000 watt any thoughts ? , added with my NOAH - S 1000w ( NOAH - S only draws 200w , its a 2020 version of a amazon generic LED out of china , you see littered every where on amazon. ) So both of those lights running for 4 Auto plants , and im thinking of making a divider in my grow room so the room is little smaller for reflection purposes 4x4x8 to 3x3x8 any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
 
At that price point, that's probably a reasonable light choice for now. Once you have a few indoor grows under your belt, you should consider getting appropriate lighting for your tent. If you look at the light patterns of the 2 fixtures, they each show a flower area of 2x2 ... so within your 4x4 you could have a decent 2x4 grow area. The strain you selected grows 30-40" under good lighting ... probably taller if it stretched due to insufficient light. I would suggest only running 2 or 3 plants in a 2x4 footprint until you can properly light the full 4x4.

hey thanks alot man, i just read this now. I went a head and purchased a sf4000 spider light. hope its enough with the burple for the 4x4 ?is there any strain seed you recommend for my first grow, i could always save the bruce banner seeds , and start off with a another strain ?

I haven't grown that one, but Delicious has produced some good genetics. If this is what you have https://www.deliciousseeds.com/del_en/auto-bruce-banner-3.html then go for it. I usually stick with Fastbuds or Mephisto for autos, but there are a number of good auto breeders out there.
As for you outdoor crop, I hope you live somewhere with a dry climate. According to Barney's Farm, it's ready for harvest in October and if you're in the northeast like I am, the damp fall weather can kill you with powdery mildew and bud rot
